In May, Ms. McDade’s Theater 3 Honors students brought famous artists to life at the Clay County Art Show with their impressive Living Artist Exhibit. Each student researched an iconic artist and crafted monologues highlighting their era, style, country, major works, philosophy, and impact. Performing in full costume, they transformed a hallway into an interactive gallery where history and theater collided. Their performances captivated the crowd, and we couldn’t be prouder of their creativity and passion! #PanthersRISE

Students in Ms. Derousie’s Pre-IB and Pre-AICE Biology classes explored anatomy through a hands-on fetal pig dissection lab this week! This engaging experience allowed students to apply their understanding of human body systems by examining the structure and function of organs in a real-world context. Throughout the lab, students identified major organs, traced the path of the digestive and circulatory systems, and made connections between structure and function, strengthening both their observational skills and scientific reasoning. Activities like these deepen content knowledge and spark curiosity about careers in health, science, and medicine. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Woodard’s Geometry students tested their problem-solving skills with an "eggcellent" engineering challenge! Their mission: design a protective structure for an egg using exactly 200 individual, classroom-safe materials—think straws, rubber bands, paper clips, and popsicle sticks. Using geometric principles and creative thinking, students constructed their designs to absorb impact and protect the egg during a drop from a designated height. This hands-on project combined math, engineering, and a whole lot of strategy to bring geometry to life! #PanthersRISE

Mr. Suarez’s 5th-period HVAC students have made impressive progress on their hands-on learning project, successfully wiring and powering up the long-standing package unit on campus. The students demonstrated real-world problem-solving skills after encountering and resolving a power issue and a control system malfunction. The project is nearly ready for the next phase, with only the condensate drain line left to complete. Looking ahead, next year’s class will install supply and return ductwork and construct a hood over the condenser fan to improve efficiency by venting hot air above the ceiling and out through the soffits—another excellent example of applied learning at Ridgeview! #PanthersRISE

Culinary 2 students rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on with a delicious new challenge—making pierogies from scratch! For many, it was their first time trying this Eastern European dish. From mixing and kneading homemade dough to whipping up creamy mashed potatoes, students prepared, filled, and shaped their pierogies with care.
