Ms. Foley and three of our dedicated students spent their morning at Crosby Sanctuary, positively impacting the environment just in time for Spring Break! They worked diligently in the native plant garden, picked up litter in the swamp, cleared fallen branches, and refilled the bird feeders. Their hard work and commitment to conservation reflect the spirit of service that defines our Ridgeview Panthers. #PanthersRISE

Our Carpentry students built these fantastic wooden trash can holders for our baseball and softball fields! Not only do these structures add a polished look to our facilities, but they also provide a real-world application of the skills our students are learning in class. From measuring and cutting to assembling and painting, these students demonstrated precision, teamwork, and craftsmanship—all essential skills for future careers in construction and design. #PanthersRISE

Ms. LaPierre and her outstanding culinary students recently catered breakfast for Superintendent Broskie's State of the Schools Address. From planning and preparation to presentation and service, these students showcased their culinary expertise and professionalism. This hands-on experience allowed them to apply their skills in a real-world setting and demonstrated their dedication to excellence. Their hard work was well received, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts in representing Ridgeview’s Culinary program at such a distinguished event! #PanthersRISE

Support our National Beta Club's Shoe Drive! Donate lightly used or new shoes, and help make a difference! All proceeds benefit those in need. Drop your donations in the collection barrels in the cafeteria, front office, or Portable 48 (Mrs. Resiga’s room).
Thank you for supporting this great cause!

Tuesday night was a historic moment for Ridgeview High School as we proudly inducted our very first members into the Tri-M Music Honor Society! This prestigious honor society recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in music, leadership, and service, and we are thrilled to see our talented musicians take this next step in their artistic and academic journeys. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Colón’s Health Science Foundations students explored the chain of infection, examining key components such as the agent, reservoir, portal of exit, mode of transmission, portal of entry, and susceptible host—and how microorganisms spread. For their assignment, students illustrated the chain of infection, applied it to a specific contagious disease, and explained how the cycle could be interrupted at each stage. Their research focused on understanding how their chosen illness spreads and identifying effective prevention strategies. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Foley’s Biology students tested their creativity by designing brain caps to reinforce their understanding of the brain’s anatomy and functions! This hands-on activity helped students visualize the different regions of the brain, including the frontal, parietal, occipital, and temporal lobes, while reinforcing their roles in cognition, movement, and perception. Learning is always more fun when you can wear it! #PanthersRISE

RISE Scholar Spotlight - Integrity

We are incredibly proud of our culinary teams who traveled to Orlando this past weekend to compete in the 24th Annual ProStart Culinary Team Competitions. Our students showcased their skills in Culinary, Management, and Waiter’s Relay events, demonstrating talent, teamwork, and dedication. They did a fantastic job, and we want to give a special shoutout to Ms. LaPierre and Ms. Stevens for their guidance and support throughout the journey! #PanthersRISE
Students in Ms. Yancey’s Earth/Space Science classes worked together to refine their planet presentations! They provided constructive feedback, helped each other tweak their wording, and polished their writing to enhance their final presentations. This is a great example of teamwork and learning in action! #PanthersRISE

Mr. Nesi’s art students are hard at work bringing their mask or pottery designs to life! Using a mix of materials, they sculpt, shape, and paint their unique creations, combining craftsmanship with creativity. Each mask will reflect the students' artistic vision and skill, from intricate textures to bold colors. Stay tuned to see the finished masterpieces! #PanthersRISE

RISE Scholar Spotlight - Responsibility

Yesterday, we surprised our bus drivers with a special treat to show our appreciation! Our bus drivers and assistants play a crucial role in our students' success, ensuring they arrive safely and ready to learn each day. We are grateful for their dedication and hard work!
A huge thank you to our business partner, Dunkin’ Donuts, for making this possible.

Ms. Derousie's Honors Biology students wrapped up their lesson on the regions of the brain with a creative, hands-on activity—building their very own Brain Hats! This interactive project helped students visualize and reinforce their understanding of brain structures and their functions in a fun and engaging way. #PanthersRISE

Ms. O'Neal's students enjoyed a special lunch where they practiced their social and serving skills in preparation for our Second Annual Family Dinner on Thursday night. At the event, they will serve their families, showcasing what they’ve learned while creating a meaningful experience for their loved ones. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Foley’s Forensic Science students wrapped up their Forensic Entomology unit with a hands-on PMI (Post Mortem Interval) lab. Using different-colored and sized pipe cleaners to represent insect species at various life stages, students analyzed “evidence” just like real forensic investigators. By measuring and identifying the developmental stages of flies and beetles—key players in decomposition—they worked to estimate the time of death based on the insects present. #PanthersRISE
