Last night, our Culinary students showcased their skills by catering a Farm Bureau dinner for 200 guests! Under Mrs. LaPierre’s guidance, her classes prepared the food during the school day, and a dedicated group of students went above and beyond by loading the van, setting up, serving, and breaking everything down afterward. The students received numerous compliments from attendees, and Mrs. LaPierre shared how proud she is of their hard work and professionalism in making the event such a success. #PanthersRISE

Mr. Ley’s IB Digital Society students put their Communication and Thinking Skills to work in an ATL exercise. Using the technology of dash cams as their focus, students analyzed the impact through key concept areas—Change, Expression, Identity, Space, Systems, Power, and Values & Ethics. They wrapped up their learning by creating posters to present their insights, showing how one piece of technology can connect to so many different aspects of society. #PanthersRISE

Our General Music students in Ms. Bice’s class had an exciting hands-on lesson learning about the double bass! Students got the chance to explore the instrument up close, discover how it produces sound, and even try out a few notes themselves. Hands-on experiences like these spark curiosity, build confidence, and make music come alive in the classroom. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Brown’s Speech 1 students are busy building their public speaking skills. Students worked in groups to create speeches as different people for different audiences, practicing how tone changes communication. They also wrote playful speeches to practice authority, convincing their classmates that the definition of an unknown word was whatever they created. #PanthersRISE

Our Ridgeview NJROTC cadets showed their commitment to service last week by taking part in their monthly Adopt-a-Road cleanup. Armed with gloves and plenty of Panther Pride, our cadets worked together to clear trash and debris from the roadside near campus. This ongoing project not only keeps our community cleaner but also teaches responsibility, teamwork, and civic pride. With their service, our cadets prove that leadership extends beyond the classroom and drill deck.

Way to RISE, Panthers! 🐾

Ms. Wilson’s Theatre 1 students put their collaboration skills to the test with a tower-building competition! After being sorted into groups by personality type—lions, otters, beavers, and golden retrievers—each team worked to build the tallest and sturdiest tower using the same materials (plus one extra item of their choice). The tallest tower reached over 3 feet high! #PanthersRISE

Ms. Marrero’s Pre-AICE Spanish 2 students worked in pairs to deliver oral presentations in the target language about a dream trip they would like to take. Each group described their travel plans and explained what items they would pack to be ready for their vacation. Through this activity, students applied vocabulary related to travel, clothing, and daily routines, while also strengthening their speaking and collaboration skills. They impressed with both their creativity and growing language proficiency—¡excelente trabajo, Panthers! #PanthersRISE

Mr. Pike’s students put their learning into motion by racing toy cars to explore how distance and time determine average speed. They made claims from their observations, identified the data they needed, and figured out how to collect it—ultimately defining what average speed really means. Hands-on science at its best! #PanthersRISE

On Friday, we held a special ribbon cutting for our Military-Connected Student Garden! While not all of our military-connected students could be present, several joined us to mark the occasion. A huge thank you to our NHS and NJROTC students who worked hard to get the garden back in shape for the new school year. We would also like to celebrate our Military Family Life Counselor, Ms. Sue, and former NHS sponsor, Ms. Ryan. Your efforts made today’s celebration possible, and this space will continue to serve as a place of pride and connection for our school community. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Klaes’s astronomy students dove into the vastness of space by learning how scientists measure incredible distances across the universe. To bring it to life, they created a scale model of our solar system, where 1 astronomical unit (AU) = 1 cm.
Along the way, some of our Panthers had just as much fun in front of the camera as they did with the activity—true stars in every sense! #PanthersRISE
