Ms. Generazio’s Art 1 students took their Spooky Drawing projects to the next level through a carousel critique designed to strengthen artistic vocabulary and peer feedback skills. Each student received a card labeled Best Technique, Most Creative, Favorite Work, or Most Expressive and rotated around the room, leaving thoughtful comments focused on value, shading, and line work. During the class debrief, the students with the most feedback shared the comments they received from their peers. Together, the class discussed what made feedback specific, detailed, and connected to artistic concepts.
Through this process, students not only refined their techniques; they learned to observe, articulate, and appreciate the creative process in one another’s work. #PanthersRISE

Our Little Paws preschoolers had an unforgettable visit from Ms. Susan Hendry, the Pumpkin Lady! Each child got to pick out their very own pumpkin and enjoy a hands-on learning experience, where they met chickens brought by Ms. Hendry. This fun and interactive visit combined fall excitement with real-world learning—helping our littles explore nature, animals, and the joy of discovery.

Thank you, Ms. Hendry, for bringing such an exceptional experience to our students! #PanthersRISE

Ms. Wilson’s Theatre 1 students completed their first cumulative project last week, and what a show it was! After learning about the areas of the stage and how to create strong blocking, students put their skills to the test through a lip sync performance. Each group chose a song made before 2005 and brought it to life for their classmates with creativity, energy, and confidence.

Health Science Foundations juniors recently brought classroom learning to life by conducting school health screenings at Lakeside Elementary. After studying essential skills such as measuring vision, hearing, height, and weight—and exploring key professional characteristics of healthcare workers—students applied their clinical training to perform basic screenings. This hands-on experience created a valuable connection between theoretical knowledge and real-world clinical practice, helping prepare our future healthcare professionals for their careers. #PanthersRISE

Voter Registration Drive – This Wednesday!

Our Panthers are encouraged to make their voices heard! Stop by during lunches on Wednesday, October 22nd, to learn more about voter registration and how you can get involved in the civic process. Students should bring their Florida driver’s license/permit, Florida ID card, or the last four digits of their Social Security Number to participate.

It’s never too early to learn about the power of your voice and the importance of civic engagement. #PanthersRISE

Ms. O’Neal’s students ended last week with a fun and engaging hands-on lesson at “O’Neal’s Ice Cream Shop.” Students selected items from a menu, calculated costs, ensured they had enough money, and determined how much change they should receive. Ms. O’Neal played the role of the waitress, encouraging students to use eye contact and clear communication to place their orders. At the same time, Mrs. S served as the cashier, and Mrs. Valerie provided “service with a smile.”

The students loved this interactive lesson that blended math and social skills — real-world learning they can use out in the community.

Ms. Ryan’s World History students took a trip back in time with a digital escape room challenge on the Italian Renaissance! Working together, students had to solve clues and answer questions to escape the 1400s and make it back to 2025. The activity covered key concepts like famous figures, art, vocabulary, and comparisons between the Renaissance and the Middle Ages. Some clues even required students to use logical reasoning and the order of operations to crack the code.

A perfect blend of history, collaboration, and critical thinking!
