Our theater students had a fantastic time celebrating Thespian Week last week by participating in a variety of fun, themed dress-up days! From creative costumes to lots of laughter and school spirit, the week was filled with energy, personality, and the strong sense of community that makes our theater program so special. Events like these highlight that theater is more than performances on stage—it is about creativity, connection, teamwork, and making lasting memories together. We love seeing our students express themselves, support one another, and have fun along the way. #PanthersRISE

Great things are happening in Ms. Weaver’s classroom, where students are learning lessons that go far beyond academics. While helping clean, organize, and complete minor classroom projects, students are also building important life skills such as teamwork, empathy, communication, and understanding that every learner has different needs.

Recently, students worked together to assemble new sensory tools for the classroom, taking ownership of the project through problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership. Along the way, they had meaningful conversations about how people learn differently and how supports can help individuals feel calm, focused, and ready to learn.

We are proud of the environment we are creating in our classrooms—one where students are learning to support one another, celebrate differences, and grow together every day. #PanthersRISE

Students in Ms. Michaels and **Mr. Gonzalez’s Junior English class were engaged in a powerful lesson using Iceberg Theory while analyzing The Leap by Louise Erdrich. Through collaboration, discussion, and text-based evidence, students explored the difference between what is explicitly stated in a story and what is implied beneath the surface.

Using group tasks, written responses, and meaningful academic conversations, students strengthened critical reading skills by making inferences, supporting claims with evidence, and explaining their thinking. Lessons like this prepare students not only for assessments, but for deeper understanding and thoughtful analysis.

Leading the Way in Inclusive Excellence
Ridgeview High School was proud to welcome junior high and high school administrators, along with support facilitators, to observe the outstanding co-teaching model in action in Ms. Michaels and Mr. Gonzalez's classroom. Their partnership reflects what is possible when collaboration, high expectations, and intentional support come together to meet the needs of all learners.

Through purposeful planning, shared instruction, and a strong commitment to student success, they have created an inclusion classroom where every student is challenged, supported, and valued. Their work not only impacts the students they serve each day, but also provides a powerful example for educators across our district.

We are grateful to have educators who continue to lead by example and showcase the excellence happening at Ridgeview every day. #PanthersRISE

Ridgeview Alum Inspires Future Environmental Leaders

Biology and AICE Environmental Management students in Ms. Andersen's and Ms. Wells's classes had the exciting opportunity to listen to guest speaker and Ridgeview Alum, Nicole Andersen, who discussed what it is like to work in the field of environmental science. She provided insight into how jobs in environmental science can range from hands-on fieldwork to working for corporations to ensure they are following environmental compliance regulations. She went over how she got involved with sustainability during college, studying the increase of microplastics in oysters, and how students can get involved with local sustainability efforts through organizations like GTMNERR.
