Mr. Werner’s junior English students met in the library to work on their Macbeth argumentative projects, using structured peer-review checklists to strengthen their writing. Students evaluated hooks, claims, evidence, counterclaims, and calls to action while applying logos, ethos, and pathos to refine their arguments. Through collaboration and thoughtful feedback, they sharpened both their literary analysis and presentation skills, demonstrating strong critical thinking and ownership of their learning. #PanthersRISE

Mr. Ley’s IB Senior Contemporary History students took learning outside as they explored Stalin’s early life and rise to power in preparation for their IB Paper 2 exam. Through collaborative discussions, students examined key historiographical approaches, including Structuralism, Psychohistory, and Political History, to better understand the shift from authoritarianism to totalitarianism. By analyzing multiple historical perspectives, students pushed beyond the “what” of history to examine the why behind the actions of authoritarian leaders, building the background knowledge needed to compare Castro in Cuba with Stalin and Lenin in the USSR during the 20th century. #PanthersRISE

Mr. Ley’s IB Digital Society students took their learning to the courtyard as they worked collaboratively to analyze real-world ethical issues connected to Information Technology in preparation for their IB Digital Society exam. Students discussed how economic factors such as externalities, tariffs, trade-offs, net neutrality, and digital graveyards influence network decisions and their broader impact on society. Through discussion, debate, and problem-solving, students connected new concepts to prior learning, demonstrating their ability to think critically and apply knowledge across disciplines. #PanthersRISE

We were excited to host the North East Florida Builders Association on campus as they led a Nail Driving Competition for our students! Participants put their skills, focus, and precision to the test in a fun, high-energy challenge that highlighted the importance of craftsmanship, safety, and real-world construction techniques. Experiences like this connect classroom learning to industry expectations and give our Panthers valuable exposure to career pathways in the skilled trades. We are grateful for this partnership and the opportunity it provided our students! #PanthersRISE

Ms. LaPierre’s culinary students put a nutritious twist on a classic favorite by baking brownies using healthy ingredient substitutions, including applesauce in place of traditional fats. As they measured, mixed, and baked, students learned how smart swaps can maintain flavor and texture while improving nutritional value, building both kitchen skills and an understanding of balanced cooking. A delicious way to show that healthy choices can still taste great! #PanthersRISE

Tuesday night’s chorus concert was made even more meaningful thanks to a generous donation from friends who had the privilege of teaching alongside Carolyn Boyle. Their gift honored her lasting legacy and deep commitment to music education. Carolyn served students and families at Wilkinson K-8, LAE, and Ridgeview Junior High School, before it became a high school, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues along the way. We are incredibly grateful for this thoughtful gesture and for the legacy of passion, dedication, and love for the arts that continues to inspire our chorus program today. #PanthersRISE

Last night, our Panther chorus and band students took the stage for our MPA Concert, performing the exact pieces they will present at their upcoming Musical Performance Assessment. This concert provided an important opportunity for students to perform in a formal setting, apply feedback, and continue refining their musicianship as they prepare for adjudication, and the focus, preparation, and pride shown by our musicians were evident in every performance. #PanthersRISE

As a culminating activity for the study of imperialism and nationalism—and an introduction to World War I—World History students participated in the MAIN Game. MAIN represents Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism, the four major tensions that contributed to the outbreak of WWI. Students used resource cards (gold, diamonds, wheat, and oil) to purchase tactical cards representing military strength, territory, alliances, and industry. Through strategic decision-making, students formed alliances or waged war with other countries to gain territory by playing cards and rolling dice. The objective was to acquire as much territory as possible, helping students experience firsthand how competition, resources, and power struggles fueled global conflict leading up to World War I. #PanthersRISE
