Mr. Wills’ students turned their own opinions into actionable data! Working with responses collected from a fast food chicken preference survey, students stepped into the role of data analysts—building spreadsheets, organizing figures, and generating charts to visualize their findings.

Working with real-world data gave students a concrete way to see how raw numbers transform into meaningful visuals!

NOW OPEN: Student Service Challenge Applications!

High school students, here’s your chance to give back to your community, build leadership skills, and support your educational goals!

The Student Service Challenge is now accepting applications. This exciting partnership between Clay County District Schools, Clay Education Foundation, the Florida Department of Education, and the Florida Lottery gives eligible high school students the opportunity to complete 20 or more new hours of community service and write an essay focused on civic responsibility and leadership.

Upon acceptance and completion, a limited number of eligible students may earn $500 toward their educational goals.

Important Dates:

⏰ Applications close: Monday, August 31 at 5:00 PM
📢 Accepted students will be notified: September 1, 2026

Students took the lead today mastering the "Prove It or Lose It" elimination strategy!

Student volunteers in Ms. Cochuyt's and Ms. Duffy's class came up to the board to answer questions through the "Prove it or Lose it" strategy. By eliminating answer choices one by one, talking through their reasoning, and explaining why each distractor was wrong, our learners took full ownership of their critical thinking!

Ms. Keaton’s Early Childhood Education students took on an exciting, real-world challenge with their Disease Detective: Case File project!

Students were tasked with researching specific diseases. But the real test of their skills? Translating complex medical information into fun, easy-to-understand flyers designed specifically for preschool students!

Working in small groups, students bounced creative ideas off one another while maintaining complete ownership of their individual projects. Their focus, self-direction, and teamwork were on full display! Combining research, creativity, and child development principles? That’s how we prepare future educators! Working in small collaborative groups, students stepped into the shoes of journalists to design a newspaper front page featuring a key historical healthcare figure. They also looked into the history by making a timeline of all the major events and historical figures through the ages. #HorsePower
