The 4th Quarter Flagpole Ceremony was a joyous occasion to recognize our scholars. It was wonderful seeing over 600 Montclair Family members gathered at our flagpole to honor our country, our school, and our scholars🇺🇸

Congratulations to our 6th grade scholars. We hope you enjoyed your graduation breakfast prepared by Principal Miller. Your graduation ceremony was wonderful as we gather together at First Baptist Church of
Orange Park to honor your achievements. Thank you to our faith-based partner for providing this amazing venue for free. Thank you to our teachers and parents who helped set up the ceremony. Congratulations Class of 2031!

Montclair Elementary has a new partner with the Soil and Water Conservation District of Clay County. We welcomed the donation of five Red Cedar trees, a new species added to our amazing 23 acres! Montclair is a nationally Certified Schoolyard Habitat recognized by the National Wildlife Federation. The Red Cedar is native to North America and will provide nesting for our Eastern Bluebirds and other creatures. Red Cedar trees will grow 2 - 3 feet per year. Thank you Rachel Fox, Tim Nguyen, Garry McIntyre, and Senior Forestor Carlton Scott for arranging, delivering, and our new species. Thank you Coach Herren and our 6th grade scholars for planting our new tree species!

Our Extended Studies students completed their final project after learning all about Ancient Rome. All students helped to reconstruct an ancient city and were able to present their individual parts to peers, adults, and parents. From forum merchants, to chariot races, and ancient temples, our city had it all!

We want to thank our amazing Parent Faculty Association for sponsoring Kona Ice for every scholar, directing some fun games, and giving each scholar a fun summer gift bag. As one scholar was leaving campus he said it was an amazing day when he received another summer gift bag from our Title 1 Team. He said "My school gave me a lot today" with a huge smile from ear to ear.

The Montclair Family honors and remembers the men and women who gave their lives while serving our country in the military. We will never forget!

The Montclair Family BBQ celebration was fun for all. Principal Miller flipped over 500 burgers for our scholars and our school. This was to celebrate all the amazing efforts from our scholars and our teachers, staff, and parents. We are all in this together as it takes a community to raise the next generation. We hope our Montclair Family enjoys Memorial Day as we remember the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform who gave their lives for our country.

Drive, walk, skate, or bike up as a family and grab games, activities, and lots of summer fun to keep the love of reading going all summer long!

Parents are welcome to attend and eat with their scholar(s) at the picnic tables in the courtyard or in the cafeteria. All other scholars will receive their grilled hamburger from Principal Miller in the cafeteria.

The Montclair Family Spring Baking Championship was delicious for all. Congratulations Nancy Sorrell for winning 1st Place with the amazingly chewy oatmeal cookies. We also welcomed CCDS Wellness Ambassador Airen Payne with the traveling Smoothie Bike. #oneclaywellness

The 36th Annual CCDS Student Art Show was an amazing display of talent from across our county. We are so proud of our Montclair scholars led by our amazing art teacher Ms. Snyder. Way to go Montclair artists!

We are looking for volunteers for Principal Miller's PBIS Rewards School Store for the 4th quarter. Please sign-up through the QR code. This is a fun time to interact with our scholars as we help them shop using their points earned for meeting our expectations.

We hope to see you at the 36th Annual CCDS Student Art Show this Friday and Saturday at the Thrasher-Horne Center. There will be Food Trucks available for dinner on Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

Please spread the word to your friends and family that kindergarten registration is open for 2025-26. Principal Miller is inviting any parent interested in attending kindergarten from our zone and controlled open enrollment for a meet and greet tour of the school. Register for one of the two tours being offered.

Happy Mother's Day to all our amazing mothers. Thank you for all you do for our scholars and our school. We hope you have an amazing day!

The first grade field trip to Tree Hill Nature Center was fun for all. Thank you to the Winn-Dixie Gives Foundation for helping make this affordable for our scholars. Their donation reduced the costs so all our scholars could enjoy this awesome experience. Be amazed!
