Yesterday, our IB juniors brought critical thinking to life during their Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition! This milestone event is a key component of the IB Diploma Programme, where students select real-world objects and connect them to thought-provoking knowledge questions such as “What counts as knowledge?” or “What role do experts play in influencing our consumption or acquisition of knowledge?" Our students impressed with insightful presentations, deep reflection, and meaningful connections to the world around them. Their creativity and intellectual curiosity were fully displayed as they tackled complex ideas and showcased the unique perspectives that make the IB experience so powerful. We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and the growth they’ve shown as thinkers and communicators. Way to go, IB Panthers! 🧠🐾 #PanthersRISE

Ms. Foley’s Biology students dissected owl pellets during their ecology unit as a hands-on way to reinforce key vocabulary related to food chains and food webs. By examining the undigested remains of owl prey, such as bones and fur, students identified organisms and modeled energy flow through ecosystems. It was a fun, engaging activity that brought textbook concepts to life and sparked scientific curiosity in the classroom! #PanthersRISE

In celebration of Earth Day, we’re proud to spotlight some incredible Earth Club students who spent their Saturday making a difference at the Crosby Sanctuary! Six dedicated Panthers volunteered their time (one preferred to stay behind the scenes and not be pictured) to support environmental conservation efforts. During the work day, they picked up trash along the trails, weeded the native plant garden, checked water quality, and cleaned and refilled bird feeders to help support local wildlife. Thank you to our Earth Club members for showing what it means to care for our planet through action and stewardship. Your efforts are a true reflection of Panther pride! 💚🌿#PanthersRISE

We are honored to be named Community First Credit Union’s School of the Month for March. This month's theme celebrated schools that excel in arts, music, and cultural events, and we couldn’t be more proud to be recognized for the vibrant, inclusive, and community-driven programs that make our school shine. From our students’ incredible performances for the community to the live music featured in our theater production, our Fine Arts programs foster creativity, passion, and connection. One of our most anticipated events, Multicultural Night, is student-led and draws large crowds from across the community to celebrate the diverse cultures represented at Ridgeview. Whether inspiring future musicians through feeder school outreach or supporting causes like Empty Bowls and holiday card drives, our students use their talents to uplift and unite those around them. A special shoutout to our incredibly talented and dedicated Fine Arts teachers—thank you for inspiring creativity, building community, and helping our students find their voice on the stage, on canvas, and in the spotlight. This recognition reflects the heart of Ridgeview High School: a place where artistic excellence meets community impact. 💙🐾

Ms. Fortner’s Chemistry students explored acids and bases using a natural pH indicator: red cabbage. In Forensic Science, our students stepped into the role of crime scene investigators by analyzing five different sand samples! They examined six key characteristics—source, color, shape, sorting, size, and mineral content—to determine how each sample differed. This hands-on lab reinforced how even the smallest particles can provide big clues in forensic investigations. Understanding these subtle differences is crucial when evaluating trace evidence from crime scenes. Science in action at Ridgeview—because every grain tells a story! #PanthersRISE

Congratulations to Ridgeview High School juniors David Whaley and Sarah Benardini! Last weekend, David and Sarah proudly represented Clay County District Schools at the 28th Annual Sunshine State Scholars Conference in Orlando, hosted by the Florida Department of Education and the Florida Education Foundation. Selected as two of Florida’s top 11th-grade students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), they joined over 110 student-scholars and their families across the state for two days of celebration, innovation, and exploration. During the event, these outstanding scholars participated in dynamic problem-solving think tanks, networked with STEM professionals and university representatives, and explored exciting postsecondary pathways in Florida. From interactive college workshops to receiving new iPads from AT&T, it was an unforgettable experience! We are incredibly proud to share that David was selected as one of only 37 scholars statewide to receive a one-year full tuition scholarship generously provided by State Farm and the Florida Prepaid College Foundation. This incredible honor recognizes David’s academic excellence and promise for a future in STEM! We couldn’t be prouder of these Panthers and all they’ve accomplished.
