Our Transition Works Interns gained valuable real-world experience through an incredible partnership with Holiday Inn Express in Fleming Island! Students had the opportunity to learn important hospitality and hotel industry skills while building confidence, responsibility, and workplace experience.

We are so thankful to Holiday Inn Express for investing in our students and providing meaningful opportunities that help prepare them for future success. Partnerships like these make such a difference, and we truly appreciate their support of our Panthers! #PanthersRISE

During our block schedule, Ms. Ryan’s students took learning outside and put their collaboration skills to the test on Ridgeview’s obstacle course. Their challenge? Safely getting their team across the “raging river” using communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.

A special shoutout to Jaden Beckman, Alex Patterson, and Kaeden Cutler for stepping up as MVPs during the activity, with Alec McNeely lending a helping hand as well. Activities like these help students build leadership, trust, and teamwork skills while having a great time together. We love seeing our Panthers learning beyond the classroom walls! #PanthersRISE

Earlier this month, five incredible Ridgeview students earned their Associate of Arts degrees from St. Johns River State College, and this coming Saturday, they will walk the stage once again to receive their high school diplomas. What an amazing accomplishment!

Congratulations to Kelvin Dixon, Ella Hernandez, Courson Moore (not pictured), Kara Reed, and Ashley Zamora on this outstanding achievement. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have truly paid off, and we could not be prouder of them.

These students have already taken huge steps toward their futures, and we cannot wait to see all they continue to accomplish. Congratulations, Panthers! #PanthersRISE

Recently, Mrs. LaPierre’s culinary classes took on sushi-making—and it was a hit! Students had the opportunity to create their own rolls using ingredients like cream cheese, cucumbers, imitation crab, and ahi tuna. They even made their own yum yum sauce to go with it! From learning new techniques to exploring flavors, this hands-on experience was enjoyed by all. We love seeing our students build real-world skills in such a fun and engaging way! #PanthersRISE

At our final chorus concert, a special Ridgeview Chorus tradition was passed on to the next generation. For decades, a “good luck coin” has traveled with chorus students to performances and events, beginning as a tradition at Lakeside Junior High before eventually making its way to Ridgeview. The tradition not only brings good luck to the chorus program but also honors the memory of Logan, a former chorus student whose story continues to inspire those who know it.

Since the end of his freshman year, Connor Murphy has been the keeper of the Ridgeview Good Luck Coin, faithfully bringing it to every chorus concert and event. This week, Connor officially passed the coin to sophomore Ariess McCraw, who will carry the tradition forward over the next two years before passing it on himself one day. We love seeing traditions like this continue to connect generations of chorus students and remind us that being part of Ridgeview Chorus is about much more than music.
