Today, the CSIT (Computer Science and Information Technology) classes at Middleburg High School hosted Bonnie Vande Velde, owner of Eagle Wings Enterprises and valued business partner of the CSIT program. Ms. Vande Velde shared her real-world experiences and insights, giving students a firsthand look at how technology and business intersect in today's workforce. Her visit is part of a growing effort to connect students with industry leaders who can help bridge the gap between classroom learning and career readiness. By sharing her journey as an entrepreneur and tech-savvy business owner, she encouraged students to think about their futures and the many opportunities available in the world of information technology. Our CSIT program prepares students for future careers in information technology by offering hands-on experience, industry certification opportunities, and connections with professionals like Ms. Vande Velde. #HorsePower

FCCLA completed their Chick Fil A Leadership Academy Impact Project last night at Canterfield of Clay County by throwing a “Senior” Prom for the residents. When the students started the planning process they decided they wanted to make it a school community project and invited HOSA and FFA to take part. FFA created beautiful boutonnières and corsages for the residents. HOSA came through big time and were a huge part of the planning process and success of the night. We are so thankful to Chick Fil A of Middleburg for sponsoring our Leadership Academy as well as providing food and drinks for the event. Mrs. Simpson, Mrs. Fields, and Mrs. Crump are so proud of the work the students put in! It was a “roaring” good time and truly a night to remember! #HorsePower

This collaborative partnership included 23 CNA students completing their required clinical hours, A “Heart of Healthcare Day” for our EKG students and yesterday they completed 30 mock interviews for all of our senior Health Academy students!
