🛡️ Safety, Prevention, and Family Fun!

This upcoming Saturday features the Pathways to Safety event—a day dedicated to empowering families with tools to protect children and teens from human trafficking, online exploitation, and missing persons.

It is a "Family Fun Day" that balances important education with a community atmosphere:

🚚 Food trucks and games for the whole family.

🎨 Kid-friendly activities designed for ages 5–17.

💡 Safety education and prevention tips for parents and educators.

🔍 Guidance on recognizing warning signs and how to report concerns.

The event is supported by several local partners, including the Clay County Sheriff's Office, the Northeast Florida Human Trafficking Coalition, and regional law enforcement.

📍 Location: FSCJ Downtown Campus (101 West State Street)

In Ms. Floyd's Financial Algebra class, students tackled real-world math with Automotive Ownership! From fuel economy to depreciation, Ms. Floyd modeled the straight-line depreciation formula, then let students productively struggle with examples to build deep understanding. #HorsePower

In Ms. Robbins' World History class, students dove deep into primary sources to debate: Did the Industrial Revolution bring more progress or problems? #HorsePower

We hosted our Spring VyStar Reality Fair today in the Media Center.  We had about 80 students go through this student and community partner led simulation.

It was a great day to meet the Broncos Class of 2030 at Lake Asbury junior high today! Acceleration night is Thursday 1/15 @ 6:00 and Bronco Expo is 2/18 from 6:00 to 7:30! Both events are in the MHS cafeteria. #HorsePower
