This upcoming Saturday features the Pathways to Safety event—a day dedicated to empowering families with tools to protect children and teens from human trafficking, online exploitation, and missing persons.
It is a "Family Fun Day" that balances important education with a community atmosphere:
🚚 Food trucks and games for the whole family.
🎨 Kid-friendly activities designed for ages 5–17.
💡 Safety education and prevention tips for parents and educators.
🔍 Guidance on recognizing warning signs and how to report concerns.
The event is supported by several local partners, including the Clay County Sheriff's Office, the Northeast Florida Human Trafficking Coalition, and regional law enforcement.

Get ready to dive "Under the Sea" for a magical evening of dancing and memories! We are thrilled to invite our Swimming Pen Creek Elementary girls and their dads (or any male role model) to our Mermaid-themed dance.
When: Saturday, February 28th
Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Where: Swimming Pen Creek Elementary
Cost: $15 per family
Light refreshments will be served to keep our mermaids and their partners energized for the dance floor!
🎟 Tickets: Available now via MySchoolBucks. Please note: This event is open to SPC students only.
Our Community Promise: We want every mermaid to have the chance to dance! If your daughter would like to attend but needs assistance finding a male figure or chaperone to escort her, please contact the school office. We are happy to help ensure no one misses out on the magic.
