To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, UE took part in creating Talevera tiles, hitting piñatas, and eating delicious birria nachos with homemade salsa. Our 6th graders put their math and cooking skills to the test to make the homemade consommé, or , in which the meat cooks in for three hours to get its flavorful taste! When it was time to eat, the 6th graders used their hospitality expertise to serve their fellow 4th & 5th-grade peers. To end the day, the students enjoyed lime-flavored macarons! It was a great day for a wonderful fiesta and to celebrate one of the many cultures from around the world! 🪅

If your child currently has medication in the clinic, the medication MUST be picked up by a parent or authorized adult on or before the last day of school. The last day of school is Friday, MAY 30 by 11:30 a.m. Any medication that is not picked up by this date will be destroyed.

We have a NEW SSYRA Reader Leader! This young lady has been working hard and finished reading ALL 15 SSYRA Books on the 3-5th grade list! Way to go!
The Batton Bunch kindergartners have spent so much time writing words and sentences this year, and today (after practicing with the hundreds board all year) they put their writing to use for math and practiced writing their numbers 1 to 100 from memory!
Mrs. Leslie's kidlets had a fun lesson with reading, writing and bubblegum!
