Collaboration and creativity were alive in Ms. Yancey’s Biology class! Students worked in groups to explore the characteristics of living things by brainstorming ideas and building collages to represent each concept. When the groups came together to share, they discovered that many of their ideas and images overlapped, showing a strong understanding of the content and how living things connect across various examples. A great blend of science and teamwork in action!

Seniors, if you have not had your senior portrait taken, your last opportunity will be Thursday, October 16, in Portable 70. Please visit Google Classroom for a link to schedule an appointment for your photo. You need to have a photo taken for the Jumbotron at graduation and the Yearbook.

RISE Scholar Spotlight - Integrity

Ms. Derousie’s AP and IB Chemistry students put their critical thinking to the test as they investigated how different factors influence reaction rates. Through hands-on experiments, they gathered evidence, analyzed results, and connected their findings to real-world chemical processes. To demonstrate their understanding, students conducted a burning splint test to confirm the production of oxygen gas. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Cannarella’s students worked together on a hands-on money activity, showing just how much they’ve learned. They collaborated, problem-solved, and successfully applied their knowledge of money skills in a real-world way. Their focus and teamwork made this lesson a great success! #PanthersRISE

We are proud of these seven Ridgeview NJROTC alumni, who are now continuing their journey together at Regent University in Virginia Beach through the ROTC program.
What an incredible opportunity for each of them, and even more special that they get to share it as Panthers, side by side! 🐾
Congratulations to our alums! You make Ridgeview proud every day! #PanthersRISE

Ms. Brown’s Speech students dove into how ads persuade us, spotting bandwagon, testimonial, repetition, humor, and loaded language, and linking each to ethos, pathos, and logos. Using Pear Deck to capture every voice, they teamed up for a “scavenger hunt” of infomercials, then transferred those skills to a written speech, “Why Every Student Should Join a School Club.” Next up: student-created infomercials that put these strategies to work! #PanthersRISE

Mr. King’s Career Prep students tapped into their creativity this week as they designed and crafted personalized Mod Podge coasters. With guidance and support from Mr. King and their instructional assistants, students learned the step-by-step process of planning, layering, and sealing their designs. This hands-on project not only gave them a chance to express themselves artistically but also helped build real-world skills in focus, patience, and craftsmanship. A great example of learning by doing! #PanthersRISE

Congratulations to this week's RISE Staff of the Week! These two exemplify what it means to be a Ridgeview Panther! #PanthersRISE
Congratulations to our RISE Scholars of the week. A teacher or staff member nominated these Panthers for demonstrating one of our RISE characteristics (Responsibility, Integrity, Spirit, and Excellence), and we are incredibly proud of them. #PanthersRISE

RISE Scholar Spotlight - Responsibility

Collaboration and critical thinking were on full display in Ms. Mayfield’s AICE U.S. History class! Students worked in groups, shared ideas, and debated some of the most challenging questions of Reconstruction — how to reunify the Union, secure freedom, and shape the nation’s future. Through teamwork, discussion, and problem-solving, our Panthers are not just learning history; they’re learning to think like historians. #PanthersRISE

Congratulations to Mr. Zanone’s Transition Works class! Last week, the class was awarded a $400 Clay County Farm Bureau Mini-Grant for the 2025–2026 school year. Mr. Gayward Hendry visited Ridgeview to present the award in person, supporting our students as they continue to build skills and opportunities for the future. #PanthersRISE

Codi, along with a friend, demonstrated Integrity when they found a lost wallet at lunch and chose to turn it in to a teacher. This act reflects honesty, responsibility, and empathy toward the person who lost it. By doing the right thing, even when it might have been easier to ignore the situation, Codi showed a strong commitment to trust and respect. He is an excellent example of Integrity in action at Ridgeview. #PanthersRISE

Ridgeview and Middleburg CNA students recently completed their Orientation training today at Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay. During the visit, students were introduced to members of the medical staff and toured various hospital departments. Throughout the semester, CNA students will have the opportunity to be paired with a patient care technician and assist in providing direct patient care, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the healthcare field. #PanthersRISE
Ms. Yancey’s World History students recently prepared Google Slides presentations to showcase their learning while strengthening technology skills. With guidance from their Instructional Assistant, Ms. Brown, students became more confident in designing slides, and the best part was watching them teach and learn from one another. #PanthersRISE
