Last night, our Panther chorus and band students took the stage for our MPA Concert, performing the exact pieces they will present at their upcoming Musical Performance Assessment. MAIN represents Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism, the four major tensions that contributed to the outbreak of WWI. Students used resource cards (gold, diamonds, wheat, and oil) to purchase tactical cards representing military strength, territory, alliances, and industry. Through strategic decision-making, students formed alliances or waged war with other countries to gain territory by playing cards and rolling dice. The objective was to acquire as much territory as possible, helping students experience firsthand how competition, resources, and power struggles fueled global conflict leading up to World War I. #PanthersRISE
