Last week, we welcomed representatives from Quigley House to campus to share important information and resources with our students in recognition of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Led by Housing and Outreach Advocate Christina Kelley, these conversations focused on healthy relationships and where students can turn for support, helping ensure our Panthers are informed, empowered, and supported. We truly appreciate Quigley House’s partnership and their commitment to educating and supporting our students in a safe, engaging, and meaningful way.

Last night, our Panther chorus and band students took the stage for our MPA Concert, performing the exact pieces they will present at their upcoming Musical Performance Assessment. This concert provided an important opportunity for students to perform in a formal setting, apply feedback, and continue refining their musicianship as they prepare for adjudication, and the focus, preparation, and pride shown by our musicians were evident in every performance. #PanthersRISE

As a culminating activity for the study of imperialism and nationalism—and an introduction to World War I—World History students participated in the MAIN Game. MAIN represents Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism, the four major tensions that contributed to the outbreak of WWI. Students used resource cards (gold, diamonds, wheat, and oil) to purchase tactical cards representing military strength, territory, alliances, and industry. Through strategic decision-making, students formed alliances or waged war with other countries to gain territory by playing cards and rolling dice. The objective was to acquire as much territory as possible, helping students experience firsthand how competition, resources, and power struggles fueled global conflict leading up to World War I. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Thomas’s 9th-grade AICE General Paper students were fully immersed in the writing process as they prepared for their AICE assessment, drafting and refining analytical body paragraphs rooted in clear claims, structured reasoning, and purposeful evidence. Students annotated sources, organized ideas in their notebooks, and translated planning into polished written responses while receiving targeted feedback and guidance, strengthening both their argument development and academic writing stamina, exactly the kind of focused, intentional practice that builds confident AICE thinkers and writers. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Mayfield’s AICE U.S. History students engaged in a collaborative review activity focused on building historical “chain reactions” from 1820–1850. Working in teams, students analyzed cause-and-effect relationships. They emphasized long-term historical significance rather than isolated events, strengthening the analytical thinking and reasoning skills essential for advanced AICE writing assessments. #PanthersRISE

After highlighting each team and event individually, we couldn’t end the day without one more collective shout-out to all of our incredible culinary students who competed at the Florida ProStart Competition. Each post showcased a different team and talent, but this photo captures the full picture: students who represented Ridgeview with professionalism, focus, and Panther pride on a statewide stage.
We also want to give a huge thank-you to Ms. LaPierre and Ms. Stevens, whose dedication behind the scenes made this success possible. Through months of planning and countless hours of practice, including fine-tuning every detail under real competition conditions, their guidance, high expectations, and commitment to excellence prepared students to perform under intense, timed, high-pressure conditions. The time, energy, and heart poured into this program truly show in the results. We are incredibly proud of our students and the team that supported them every step of the way. #PanthersRISE

Our Waiter Relay team, Yuri, Kendall, and Andreya, delivered an outstanding performance in a fast-paced, high-pressure, timed event, earning an impressive 5th-place finish in the state of Florida. Competing against schools from across the state, the team was challenged to demonstrate precision, speed, communication, and professionalism as they navigated a demanding relay course under strict time constraints. Their focus, teamwork, and composure under pressure truly stood out and reflect the high level of training and dedication within our culinary program. We are so proud of Selia for representing Ridgeview High School this past weekend in Orlando at the ProStart competition, where she competed in the Decorative Food Centerpiece category.
