Oakleaf showed up in PINK! From the hallways to the football field, our students and staff came together in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Even the rain couldn’t stop our Yellow Jackets from bringing their Pinkout spirit to the game- a true rain-or-shine moment! 💗
Ms. Brown’s Fashion & Interior Design students at Oakleaf Junior High hit City Thrift for our Rip the Runway: Trash to Treasure field trip!
Students shopped with purpose, explored sustainable fashion, and put their budgeting skills to work! Then it was off to Golden Corral for their Business Lunch, where they shared ideas and planned their runway looks!
Back at school, students showed off their thrifted treasures, shared their creative visions, and started planning how to bring their looks to life for their Winter Wonderland Fashion Show in December!

Guidelines for Retake Day:
Any new or absentee staff or students need to be photographed for the yearbook.
Students who would like a retake must return the picture package to the photographer on retake day.
If you have leftover sit cards from the original day, please give them to the photographer when you arrive.
The opportunity to order the retake photo is typically 3-4 weeks after the pictures are taken.

🎶 6th Grade Jacksonville Symphony Field Trip! 🎶
Our 6th grade students will be attending the Jacksonville Symphony on January 12th! We are excited to provide our students with this wonderful cultural experience. 🎻✨
Due to the size of the venue, we are limited in the number of parent chaperones we can have attend.
If you are a Level 2 approved volunteer and are interested in serving as a chaperone, please email Amy Frier at amy.frier@myoneclay.net to be added to the list of potential chaperones.

⚡ Charge Into Fire Safety! ⚡
It’s Fire Prevention Week, and this year’s theme is all about safe charging! As technology plays a big role in our everyday lives, we are reminding our OneClay community that safe charging is a superpower.
🔌 Plug in. Power up. Stay safe.
To keep our homes and schools safe, make sure you are using your 6 Charging Superpowers:
• Cheap charger? Don't chance it. Use the cord and charger that came with your device or one approved by the manufacturer.
• Soft surface? Hard pass. Charge on a hard, flat surface like a table, desk, or bare floor.
• Fully charged? Time to unplug. Unplug your device when it is fully charged.
• For tools and rides, charge outside. Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools outside when possible, and never block exits when charging.
• Feels hot? Stop using it. Stop using your device if it feels very hot, starts to swell, smells strange, leaks, smokes, or makes popping or hissing sounds.
• On a flight? Keep it in sight. Keep devices where you can see them while charging on an airplane, and tell a flight attendant if you notice a problem.
