Thanks to their assistance, expertise, and true FIRST spirit, our robot was battle-ready allowing us to literally and figuratively get tangled up on the field alongside some amazing teams! League play is so much better when we build each other up.

Our OLJ Literacy Elective students (grades 6–8) wrapped up their First Person Point of View (POV) writing assignment, Night of the Monster, by testing their perspective skills with our POV Matching Game!
From sorting First, Second, and Third Person definitions and pronouns to analyzing sample sentences, they worked hard to master every angle of storytelling. Connecting hands-on practice with their own creative writing helps drive these concepts home so they can read with deeper understanding and write with real impact.
