Gradventure Part 3!
OLJ 8th graders were all over Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure on Friday night. From roller coasters to the Wizarding World, they made the absolute most of having the park to themselves until midnight! Way to represent the HIVE!

We captured so many awesome moments of OLJ 8th graders throughout the night last Friday. Here are more photos of the fun from our midnight takeover at Universal!

What an absolutely unforgettable night! From the high-energy start to the sleepy, souvenir-loaded ride home early Saturday morning, our OLJ 8th graders had the BEST time celebrating the end of their junior high school journey!
They officially took over Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, crushed the coasters, explored the Wizarding World, and stayed up celebrating until midnight!
A massive shoutout to Ms. Baum and our amazing chaperones for surviving the night and making this legendary experience possible for our graduates! ❤️
(This is just the beginning! We have SO many incredible photos of the night, we couldn't fit them all in one post. Keep your eyes peeled for Part 2 and Part 3 coming up!

🐝 What a Week of Appreciation! 💛
As Teacher Appreciation Week wraps up, the halls of Oakleaf Junior High are buzzing with gratitude. They say it takes a village, and this week, our HIVE proved that we have the best one in Clay County!
Our educators do so much more than teach—they spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire the dreams of tomorrow. While we’ve been busy pouring into our students, our community spent the week pouring back into us.
We are so thankful for the incredible gestures that fueled our spirits all week:
From the morning Coffee Kick-Off and McDonald's Biscuits...
To the midday Nacho Bar, Flavored Water Station, and Yogurt bar...
Plus the All-Star Lunch, hot dogs fresh from the grill & sides, and the gifts of appreciation in our mailboxes!
To our teachers: You are the foundation of Oakleaf Jr. High. Your resilience and heart make this school a home. And to our community: Thank you for making us feel like the All-Stars you believe us to be.

What an incredible day of strategy and skill at the 2nd Clay County Jr. High Chess Tournament this past Saturday! From the opening gambits to the final endgames, the focus in the room was intense as students from all participating schools battled it out down to the very last move!
After a day of fierce competition, Oakleaf Jr. High and Lake Asbury Jr. High were tied for 1st place. It all came down to a high-stakes tie-breaking match where our Team Captain, Liam W., delivered an incredible performance to secure the win! 🥇
A huge shoutout to the undefeated players from each school who were recognized for their flawless play, including our very own Ethan D. We are so proud of the talent and sportsmanship displayed by everyone.
A Special Thank You!
None of this would have been possible without the leadership of National Master Joseph Emery. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Mr. Emery for his time, dedication, and generous donations. Thank you for giving our students this platform to compete and grow!
