It’s Blackout Night at Oakleaf Junior!
Join us next Tuesday, September 22, at 6:00 PM as the Yellow Jackets take on Lakeside Junior in a home football game. Wear an all-black outfit to match the night’s theme, bring your cheers, and help us show our team some Oakleaf pride!
FCCLA Fashion Society will also host a Best-Dressed Contest for students wearing the theme. One winner from each grade (6th, 7th, and 8th) will receive a Chick-fil-A lunch box.

From anchors to directors, audio technicians, and editors—every student is gaining hands-on experience in every role it takes to bring a professional news show to life. It’s incredible seeing them step up, take ownership, and truly enjoy the learning process!

On this National Day of Remembrance, our students and staff reflect on the selflessness, unity, and resilience that defined our country following September 11, 2001. Through meaningful classroom reflection and age-appropriate civics lessons, we ensure that the legacy of these heroes inspires the next generation.
