Purple Party at OHS! We came together to honor our military students and veterans on staff during lunch, filled with food, games, treats, and lots of fun! It was the perfect way to wrap up our celebration of April as the Month of the Military Child. Huge thanks to Ms. Hunter, Ms. Taylor, and Mr. Bradley for putting together an amazing event and week of themed dress-up days to honor our military families.

OHS Chorus earned 1st Place in the High School Choir Division with an incredible score of 96 out of 99 and a SUPERIOR ranking at the Music in the Parks Festival in Tampa! They also took home 1st Place Overall, earning the highest score of the entire festival and outperforming bands, orchestras, jazz ensembles, show choirs, and choirs from across Florida and Georgia in the middle and high school divisions. Congratulations, Knights!

Members of our chapter of the National Honor Society spent Wednesday afternoon preparing and serving meals to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House helps families stay close to their child when they need treatment for serious medical conditions. We couldn’t have done this without our volunteers and our members who made donations to Wednesdays dinner.

The OHS Knights Spanish Team brought had a great performance at FSSC 2025, earning 2nd place in Division 2. They took home 1st place in impromptu, their play, poetry, and t-shirt design, with Kaleena Feng winning 1st in instrumental for her piano piece "La Llorona." We're so proud of how they represented Oakleaf High School! Congrats to Laura, Nazareth, Iriel, Maria, Kendra, Liliana, Brithany, Christian, Ava, Angeline, Kaleena, Chantal, Tirek, Monica, Isabella, and Karla! Way to go, Knights!

The Oakleaf High School chapter of the National Honor Society hosted their 3rd annual egg hunt for our very own Little Squires. Our tiniest Knights searched for eggs while practicing their colors, shapes and counting skills. Thank you Little Squires for spending the afternoon with us!

Poultry Showmanship: Reserve Grand Champion Jasmine C.,3rd Place Brylee W., & 4th Place Kayli H. Rabbit Showmanship: Grand Champion Brylee W., Reserve Grand Champion Emma J., & 3rd Place Aiden K. Celebrity Show: Mr. Fluent won his market class and took home 3rd Overall!

Congratulations to OHS Weightlifting for an outstanding performance at the State Championships! As a team, OHS finished 4th overall in Traditional and 6th overall in Olympic. We’re incredibly proud of our athletes for their hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship throughout the season! Individual Highlights: Noah S. – 154 Traditional State Champion and 3rd place in Olympic Cristian R. – 3rd place in Traditional Ray W. – 3rd place in both Olympic and Traditional Ethan S. – 4th place in Olympic and 8th place in Traditional Lucius M. – 8th place in Olympic Daniel I. – Achieved a personal record (PR) for the year!
