We celebrated Mental Wellness Monday at OHS. With our students focused on testing and graduation preparations, it was the perfect time to pause and encourage mental wellness across our campus. Our teachers and staff also took part in the day’s efforts to promote a healthy mindset. It is important to show one another love and support. Let others know you are there to help them through tough times and that they are never alone. We are in this together.

The Clay County Art Show was an incredible success, with over 8 Oakleaf High School students receiving awards for their outstanding artwork. The event featured a live muralist and Oakleaf alum, Lindsey Spears, engaging demos, a family engagement room, living artists, a college and career fair, and artwork from every school in the county. A truly unforgettable celebration of creativity for Clay County students and teachers.

The first-ever Fine Arts Gala was a huge success. We are incredibly grateful to have had the highest student attendance for such a sophisticated event. A total of 26 overall seals were earned, with 8 being Distinction Awards—tying for the most in the county. The band earned 17 seals, also tying for the most of any program in Clay County. Our 2D/3D art students earned 6 seals, the second most among all art programs in the county. We are proud to have the county’s 2D Artist of the Year and 3D Artist of the Year. Several students also received Emerging Artist Awards and other honors for their specific disciplines. Congratulations to Mr. Robbins for being named Clay County Fine Arts Teacher of the Year. A huge congratulations to all involved.

Congratulations to all our Seniors who received recognition at the CCDS Fine Arts Gala for earning the Florida Seal of Fine Arts: Emerson Smiley for earning Emerging Artist, Nazareth Torres for earning Student of the Year, and our very own Mr. Robbins for earning Fine Arts Educator of the Year for Clay County!!
