❤️🤍💙 9/11 Heroes’ Day | National Day of Remembrance 🕊️

Today, September 11th, Clay County District Schools pauses to honor the lives lost, the courageous first responders who rushed toward danger, and the countless heroes whose bravery shone on one of our nation’s darkest days.

On this National Day of Remembrance, our students and staff reflect on the selflessness, unity, and resilience that defined our country following September 11, 2001. Through meaningful classroom reflection and age-appropriate civics lessons, we ensure that the legacy of these heroes inspires the next generation.

Today, we invite our Clay County community to join us in taking a moment of quiet reflection to honor those we lost and thank the local heroes who keep us safe every day.

We will never forget. ❤️

PBS Team Grade 6
Hi, my name is Aaron Wilson. This is my first year at Montclair, but my 11th year teaching. I’ve lived in Florida my entire life and am a huge fan of Harry Potter.
My name is Christina Castillo and I have always had a passion for working with children. I love seeing the world through their eyes and being a part of the curiosity, creativity, and joy they bring to everyday life. As a mother of three—Dakota, Eleanor, and Grayson—I have learned so much about patience, compassion, and the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for children to grow and thrive. Outside of work, I’m a big K-pop fan and enjoy spending my free time listening to my favorite vinyl records. I love finding little ways to relax and enjoy the things that make me happy.
Hello my name is Daniella Rechis and I have been working with kids for a little over 10 years in and out of the classroom. When I’m not working with the kids in the classroom I’m teaching kids how to swim. I have three cats and enjoy going to theme parks and going on roller coasters.
These ladies from the 4th/5th grade PBS class have been having a stellar year.

Hello! My name is Katie Jennings, and I’m an ESE Behavior Health Assistant here at Montclair Elementary! I’m so excited to be part of the Montclair family and to support our students. This school is extra special to me because, not only did I attend, but now my two boys are also Montclair students! When I’m not at school, I’m at home spending time with my husband and our two boys. I’m looking forward to a wonderful school year and I’m so happy to be part of the Montclair Monarchs!
I am a new Behavior assistant working with Mrs. Z. I was born and raised in Jacksonville. I’ve been married for 28 years with 2 kids. My baby boy is in college and on the football team at Furman University. I’m also a die hard Jags fan.

My name is Purina Lopez. I am looking forward to this 2026-2027 school year. I am happy to have joined the Monarch Family. I obtained my grad and undergrad education degrees from Barry University. I am an educator who enjoys working with students and their families. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish. Best Wishes to all.
Hello, I’m Ms. Q. I’m an assistant in the Behavioral Health Unit. I’ve been working at Montclair for many years. I’m excited for another year together.
Hi, I work as a Behavior Health Assistant. This is my 4th year working at Montclair. I have had the opportunity to work alongside some incredible staff here and help so many students on their learning journey. I am hoping that my experience at Montclair helps me toward my goal as an art teacher. Outside of the school, you can always find me out in nature, playing with my puppy, making art, or getting lost in a good book.
