Hi, my name is Aaron Wilson. This is my first year at Montclair, but my 11th year teaching. I’ve lived in Florida my entire life and am a huge fan of Harry Potter.
My name is Christina Castillo and I have always had a passion for working with children. I love seeing the world through their eyes and being a part of the curiosity, creativity, and joy they bring to everyday life. As a mother of three—Dakota, Eleanor, and Grayson—I have learned so much about patience, compassion, and the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for children to grow and thrive. Outside of work, I’m a big K-pop fan and enjoy spending my free time listening to my favorite vinyl records. I love finding little ways to relax and enjoy the things that make me happy.
Hello my name is Daniella Rechis and I have been working with kids for a little over 10 years in and out of the classroom. When I’m not working with the kids in the classroom I’m teaching kids how to swim. I have three cats and enjoy going to theme parks and going on roller coasters.
These ladies from the 4th/5th grade PBS class have been having a stellar year.

I relocated from southeast Missouri 9 years ago and feel privileged to have been a part of the Montclair Family since. In addition to teaching, I enjoy camping with my family, reading, and spending time with my grandchildren. I can’t wait to welcome back my returning scholars and meet my new ones. It’s going to be a great year!
Behavioral Health Assistant in our K-2 self contained classroom. I’ve been at Montclair for going on 9 years and love my littles! I’m married, have a son who is fixing to become a firefighter, and two crazy pups! In our free time, my family and I love to do game nights and spend time at Disney!
My name is Zita Löffler, and I am originally from Hungary. My husband is a U.S. military veteran, and we have a 17-year-old son. In addition to mathematics, I have a deep love for nature, hiking, animals, and history. Our family includes two ferrets, one dog, and one cat, all of whom are cherished members of our household. Helping others has always been an important part of who I am, and I consider it one of my life's missions. Administration
Hello, I am Kristen Harrison, your Assistant Principal. This year will be my 6th year as MCE’s AP and year 22 in education. Myself and my family attended Clay County Schools. I am excited to have all our Monarchs return and look forward to another successful academic year for all scholars and as an “A” school. Outside of school I enjoy time with my family, dogs, friends and continuous learning.
I am excited to begin my 25th year at Montclair as your Principal. I believe family is always first. My wife Krissy and I are celebrating 38 years of marriage this November. Our family is growing as we have two amazing grandchildren, Isla and Murphy with another expected in October. As both my children are Field Biologists from the University of Florida, we are huge outdoor enthusiasts. Fly fishing and hiking the mountains of Montana are my favorite. When not outdoors I love reading, watercoloring, and cooking gourmet meals with my wife.

As our students head back to class tomorrow morning for the first day of the new school year, it’s the perfect time for a quick refresher on getting to school safely. Whether you walk, ride, or drive, we all play a part in keeping our school community safe.

Check out these tips to help us all arrive safe:

🚶‍♂️ WALK SAFE!

Heads Up, Phone Down! Stay alert and aware of your surroundings.

Use sidewalks and cross only at corners and crosswalks.

Look LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT before crossing.

Be seen!

🚲 RIDE SAFE! (Bikes, E-Bikes, & E-Scooters)

Helmet On: Wear a helmet—it’s the LAW for riders under 16!

Obey all traffic laws, stop signs, and traffic lights.

Ride with traffic, stay off your phone, and yield to walkers on the sidewalk.

E-Riders: You are fast and quiet. Drivers don't always expect you—be extra alert and slow down at intersections!

🚌 BUS SAFE!

Wait in a safe place well away from the road.

Board or cross ONLY when the driver gives you the "OK" signal.

Stay seated and keep the aisle clear.

Drivers: Please review the "School Bus Safety Rules" graphic below so you know exactly when you MUST stop!

🚗 DRIVE SAFE!

Slow down, especially in school zones.

Expect the unexpected—look twice for kids at every intersection, driveway, and crosswalk.

Give bicyclists at least 3 feet of clearance.

Put the phone away, no texting, and focus on the road.

Let's work together to make the first day back a safe one. Share this post with your students and neighbors to help spread the word!

Be Seen. Be Smart. Be Safe.

We can't wait to see you tomorrow! 📚✨

We are excited for the return of our Montclair Monarchs for the 2026-27 school year. There is a waiver on the single point of entry state requirement for the first two days of school as we will have enhanced security protocols in place. You can enter the attended gates to walk your scholar to class. Beginning on Thursday, all visitors will have to check-in through the Front Office via our Raptor system. Hello, I’m Mr. Mike I’ve been at Montclair for going on thirty years. I’ve enjoyed all the years I’ve been here. The Montclair family has been so good to me. Outside of work I enjoy fishing and sports. I’m looking forward to retirment in the next year and a half.
Hi! My name is Kristina and I am honored to finally become a Montclair Monarch! I was here filling in the cafeteria a few years ago and fell in love. I'm excited to be a custodian now, where I will have more opportunities to connect with the students and create positive experiences for them by providing a safe and clean learning environment! In my spare time (if I can find any), I enjoy building Lego sets, coloring, and watching Disney movies or anything historical fiction. I have 3 kids, 6 snakes, a bearded dragon, 4 cats, and a dog. So if you see a snake on campus give me a call, but you can call someone else for bugs, lol!
My name is Magdiel Reiner. I'm a new custodian staff at Montclair Elementary. I'm happy to be here.

🚲 Heads Up, Clay! Arrive Safe! 🛴

With students heading back to class this week, bike racks across Clay County are filling up fast! Whether you're riding a traditional bike, e-bike, or e-scooter, safety starts before you even step on the pedals.

Keep these quick tips in mind for a smooth ride:

  • Obey the Rules: Follow all traffic laws, stop signs, and signals.

  • Go with the Flow: Always ride with the flow of traffic, not against it.

  • Stay Alert: Ditch the distractions, look ahead, and watch for hazards.

  • Be Seen & Predictable: Use hand signals when turning or stopping so drivers know your next move.

  • Protect Your Brain: Wear a helmet—it’s Florida law for riders under 16!

E-Bike & E-Scooter Riders: Watch your speed and slow down near pedestrian zones and crosswalks!

Let’s make this school year the safest one yet! 🎒✨

Front Office
Hi, I am Ms. Stacia and I have had the privilege of serving as the Bookkeeper/Principals secretary at Montclair Elementary for the past 20 years. I am originally from upstate NY, but moved to Jacksonville/Orange Park 38 years ago. Family is everything to me! I have been married to my husband for 21 years. I have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. My son attended Montclair Elementary and now three of my grandchildren are Montclair students. One of the things I love most about my job is being part of such an amazing school community. It has been amazing to watch so many students grow over the years and to work alongside such a caring and dedicated staff. I'm truly honored to be part of the Montclair family. Soar Like Monarchs
I have been the ESE Secretary at MCE for the past 11 years. I also umpire softball and played for 30 years. I have been married to my husband, Chuck for 29 years and we have 3 boys and a grandbaby on the way. I am originally from San Diego, CA., but have lived in Florida for over 40 years. In our spare time we enjoy cruising, glamping in our RV, and watching our sons play ball still.
Hello, Montclair families! I am Mrs. Tauch, the front office secretary. As the gatekeeper of our front doors, I am proud to be the very first smile you see when you walk into our school. I absolutely love my job and am dedicated to helping everyone who walks through our doors. Our wonderful students bring so much joy to my days and keep me smiling! Outside of school, I am happily married and the proud mother of two grown children, a daughter-in-law, and two very special grandsons. Please come by the front office and say hello—I cannot wait to greet you!
I have been privileged to work at Montclair since 2018. I have had a journey to get here, from being born in Georgia, to wandering several "interesting places" due to orders from the Navy with my husband, and choosing to stop our travels in Clay County. Both my sons are alumni of Orange Park High School, so our roots run deep. The sense of camaraderie is high at MCE, the devotion to our students and their education underlies every decision made. The new mascot, the Monarch Butterfly, shows our determination to see each student soar!!
