I am the Physical Education (PE) teacher at Montclair Elementary School, currently in my 8th year in the role. At Montclair, students enjoy a wide range of sports and activities, including basketball, baseball, volleyball, pickleball, and many more. I always ask new students to share their favorite sport. Outside of school, I enjoy gardening, running, and spending time by the pool. I am also passionate about caring for cats and kittens and dedicate a significant amount of my summer time to cat and kitten rescue efforts.
Hello! My name is Ms. Snyder and I am the art teacher at Montclair Elementary. This will be my 7th year teaching at our school. When I'm not teaching, you can find me making art, spending time with friends and family, reading a good book, gardening or enjoying time with my dog. I'm looking forward to another amazing year!
My name is Carlie Gann and this is my second year teaching music at Montclair Elementary. My favorite thing about the Montclair Family is how welcoming and kind everyone is. My primary instrument is the tuba and I have been playing since I was in junior high! Besides teaching general music and chorus at Montclair, I also teach as a staff member for local Clay County marching bands. When I’m not teaching, I love to spend my time by the ocean or with my two cats. Here’s to another great year!
I’m the media specialist/ library teacher at MCE. I became a librarian because I love to share stories. I’m always happy to hear what students enjoyed or to help them find something they’d enjoy reading next! My most important job is a reading enthusiast, but library lessons also cover technology topics, digital citizenship and research skills as well. This is my eighteenth year teaching.
My name is Jennifer Ellis and I am the Media Tech at Montclair. I enjoy the beach, fishing, the gym, the mountains and most of all helping our scholars find the perfect book.

Hi! I’m Jenn McCollum, the licensed mental health counselor at Montclair. My passion at the school is helping students build their confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and learn that big emotions don't have to be scary, rather they are something we can understand and work through together. 4th Grade Team
Hello! Hello! I’m excited to start the year with our Montclair Monarchs. I look forward to meeting scholars and having a fabulously fun time in fourth. My most favorite aspect of teaching is when students have those “aha” moments, when a learning concept clicks, the light bulb shines, and a smile is shown. When I’m not teaching, I like the great outdoors, experiencing new places (whether it’s traveling or restaurants), watching movies and football, and of course spending quality time with family plus socializing with friends. I’m not the best at singing and dancing but I do enjoy both - you might catch me in the classroom belting out a tune and possibly busting a move … if you see me doing either one while walking the hallways, feel free to join in and we will giggle together. Determine to live life with flair and laughter. - Maya Angelou
Hi, Montclair families! My name is Abbey Beaudry, and I am so excited to be joining the Montclair family as a 4th grade teacher this year! One of my favorite fun facts to share is that I actually attended Montclair from kindergarten through 6th grade, with Mr. Miller as my principal the entire time. Now I have the opportunity to work alongside some of the amazing teachers who taught me. It's such a special full-circle moment to come back—this time as a teacher instead of a student! Math is my favorite subject to teach, and I can't wait to help my scholars grow in confidence, challenge themselves, and celebrate all of their successes throughout the year. I'm also excited to be coaching girls flag football at Lake Asbury Junior High this season! When I'm not at school, you'll usually find me reading a good book, spending time with my family and friends, fishing, or playing a round of golf with my boyfriend. I can't wait to meet my students and their families and am looking forward to an amazing year together. Go Monarchs!
Hi, I'm Rachel Goodyear! Coffee helps start my mornings, science keeps my days exciting, and my family fills my heart. I'm a fire wife, mom of three, and a 4th & 5th grade science teacher who believes learning should be hands-on, engaging, and full of fun. Whether I'm planning experiments, building something new, or spending time at home with my family, chickens and puppies, I love finding joy in the little things.
