This summer Kelly Jernigan, our Media Specialist made the decision to retire! Mrs. Jernigan dedicated over 30 years as an educator to the Clay County School District. Most of those years were spent at Lakeside Elementary as a teacher and Media Specialist. She will be missed greatly, but we wish her all the best as she begins this next chapter in her life!

Our little VPK Lakers had an amazing first week getting to know their new friends and teachers.They are learning their routines, group work, playing together, painting dancing and sharing in so many fun experiences. It’s going to be a great year!

Our week started with first day of school pics for Mrs. Jen’s preschool class!
Our first week in Pre-K was filled with giggles, songs, games, cookie decorating, playground fun, and colorful painting. So many sweet moments… and this is only the beginning of our beautiful adventure together!
Mrs. Myers’ 4th graders have been practicing their silent reading in cozy spots, to increase their reading stamina.
Mrs. Fulford's class has had a great first few days!
