Ms. Spencer's students traveled deep into the Congaree National Park as Arborists assessing the health of trees on campus and coding the story of trees' lives through its rings. We also learned that the Congaree Forest has 20 different species of mosquitoes! After studying the body parts and life cycle of mosquitoes, our scholars developed a plan to limit mosquitos in their own backyard.

This week in Ms. Reyes’ Class was full of joy and creativity! ✨ Our book theme was Awesome Me, and our sweet friends had so much fun making their own This is Me! frames. 🖼️💕 It was such a special week!

Ms. Addison‘s first grade class earned fun Friday reading puzzles today.

We recently had a book naming contest for our new book drop in Media. These two students had the winning names out of over four hundred submissions. Our winner is "The Book Gobbler." The runner up is "The Inhaler." Each young man got a Jeremiah's gift card and picked a book from the book vending machine. Great job, gentlemen!

3rd Grade: Observing, measuring and recording physical properties of different objects.

Mrs. Jen’s PreK friends kicked off their Little Chefs class just in time for National Extra Dessert Day! Yummy Funfetti muffins!
Mrs. Myers’ 4th graders enjoyed a “hands-on” indoor recess after working hard on their FAST tests this week!

Ms. Spencer's classes are studying National Parks. Last week we jumped into the Everglades. We learned the many functions of mangrove trees, solved mystery metaphors about mangrove trees and built models of different species (on display in the media center). We also researched the Pileated Woodpecker. Parents, if you don't see your scholar in these pictures, be sure to join the ES Apptegy Room in the OneClay App. There are many more photos in the materials section.

Last chance to register for this program!

Come get dinner and support Lakeside!

Every year Ms. Addison’s class takes a photo in front of the deciduous tree by the playground when the school year starts. We’ll take another photo in winter, and then the last one in spring. The children learn the changes of the seasons on deciduous trees.

Early Dismissal Day Pizza Sale!

Mrs. Chadwick's kindergarten class was working on letters and sounds.
