Mr Bunn's 5th graders learned about moon phases using Oreo cookies

This program connects donors with children and families in need to ensure they receive new clothes and toys for Christmas. Donors "adopt an angel," receiving a child's wishlist to purchase requested items, which are then distributed anonymously to make their holidays brighter. The program helps many children annually and is supported by community groups, businesses, and individuals in Clay County.

Students in Mr. Corless’s math class used vertical learning boards to work on their long division skills.

Mrs. Morrell's class used their reading strategies to complete a Constitution Day activity.

Take Pride Tuesday!

Remider! Tomorrow is an early dismissal day. Students will be dismissed at 11:45.

Ms. Spencer's scholars explored the Great Smoky Mountains this week. We discovered that they are not smoky at all but very foggy; so naturally, we had to experiment with fog. You might not think about getting enough water if you can get it easily by turning on your faucet. But what happens when you are hiking on the Appalachian Trail and you don't have a reliable water supply? In this activity students learned about one creative way to collect water—from the air!

Our first LEGO club was a great success! We had a small build challenge where our brickies built anything they wanted but could only use 10 LEGOS. Our big build challenge was to build something that fit with the background they choose. Parents, if you don't see your LEGO master here, look in the Apptegy Rooms and Find the LEGO club room. In the materials section are more wonderful photos

Mrs. Bunn's class reviewed multi-digit multiplication on our vertical learning boards before taking a test. Next week we are starting multi-digit division.

This week was National Arts in Education Week! We would like to recognize the hard work of Mrs. Gaylor, our music teacher, and Mr. Perry, our art teacher, for inspiring our students every day.

Lots of Positive Office Referrals on Friday! Our Lakers are working hard. Congratulations to these students. We are very proud of them!

Mrs. Bunn's 5th graders enjoyed creating models of the moon's phases with oreos.

Ms. Reyes’ Pre-K class had such a busy and fun week! 💕
We laughed, explored emotions, and enjoyed our mini project inspired by The Little Red Hen — baking real bread together 🍞✨. So much learning and joy in every moment! 🥰
