Ms. Lewis’s class had a Literature Buffet today. Students brought in a book and a food that was connected to their book. They stood up in front of the class and gave a summary of their book and their reason for picking their food.”

Today in Ms. Lee’s class, students worked with a partner to summarize an article about wild turkeys. Each group wrote a one-sentence summary of their paragraph, and then they put them together as a class. They discussed which sentences were off topic, missing key details, or captured the central idea. Students decided many were “mid,” so they'll keep practicing—but they made great progress!

It’s fall, y’all! In Miss Addison‘s class and Mrs. Jones' class, students got to play in the leaves, and we had to disguise those turkeys so they wouldn’t get eaten for Thanksgiving.
