Third grade students working in small groups during Chomp and Achieve time to break down the plot of the first chapter of their text. Students are working on and understanding how reading fluently leads to better comprehension of the story and how enhanced comprehension leads to an increased ability to summarize. Way to go 3rd Grade!

The Power of Relationships: Our Mentorship Program Blooms- Each One. Reach One!
At Grove Park Elementary, we believe strong relationships are at the heart of a thriving school community. This year, our mentorship program, "Each One. Reach One," is rooted in that belief, pairing staff members together to support, encourage, and grow alongside one another. Each pair was presented with a marigold flower, a symbol of warmth, growth, and care. Just as marigolds help other plants flourish, our mentors and mentees will nurture each other’s professional and personal growth throughout the year.
As our marigolds grow, so too will the bonds between our staff. Together, we are cultivating a culture of support, positivity, and excellence—one relationship at a time.
