⏰ Don’t forget to "Spring Forward," Clay County!

Just a friendly reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend! Most people find it easiest to set their clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night before heading to bed—that way, you’re all set for Sunday morning! 🛌✨

While we all adjust to losing that hour of sleep, we’re definitely looking forward to those longer, sunnier afternoons for our students' after-school sports and activities! ☀️

We can’t wait to see all our students arriving safely and right on time this Monday morning to kick off another great week of learning. 🎒✨

🏫 We want to hear from you: 2026-2027 School Bell Times!

Clay County District Schools is considering three options for school start times for the 2026-2027 school year, and your feedback is essential to this decision.

In 2025, Florida law (SB 296) granted our School Board the flexibility to decide the best bell times for our community. We are currently weighing three possibilities:

Option A: Keep bell times exactly as they are now.

Option B: Elementary schools start first (7:20 AM), High Schools start last (9:40 AM).

Option C: Swap Elementary and Senior High times (High School starts at 8:30 AM).

Each option has different impacts on transportation costs, extracurriculars, and student sleep patterns. We want to know what works best for your family!

At Grove Park, Black History Month was more than a celebration — it was an experience. 🖤✨ Each teacher honored the month in their own unique way, creating meaningful opportunities for students to explore the accomplishments, inventions, leadership, and athletic excellence of Black American heroes who have shaped our nation and our world. Our art students did an outstanding job curating a beautiful Black History Month gallery, now proudly displayed in the cafeteria for all to enjoy. Their creativity, thoughtfulness, and talent truly brought history to life. Our classes hosted powerful Black History Month projects, presentations and more where students researched, presented, and celebrated influential African Americans with confidence and pride. Watching them speak with knowledge and ownership was a proud moment for our entire school community. Each morning, our administration highlighted inspiring African American leaders through a Quote of the Day, paired with facts and reflective writing prompts that encouraged students to think critically and connect history to their own lives. At Grove Park, we believe in honoring the past, recognizing excellence in the present, and empowering the future. We are proud of our diverse community and remain committed to inclusiveness, representation, and ensuring every student sees themselves reflected in history and in leadership. Black history is American history — and at Grove Park, we celebrate it with intention, pride, and purpose. 🖤✊🏾✨
