The driveway? Perfect for marking 0, 1/2, and 1 with sidewalk chalk.
A long hallway? Congratulations, it’s now a giant number line.
The walk to the mailbox? “Let’s stop at 1/4 of the way.”
Teachers and parents—where else can kids practice fractions on a number line in real life (no worksheets required)?

By reading aloud, helping sound out words, and cheering each other on, our students are building their reading confidence and growing stronger as readers every day.

We talked about the choices Jonah made, what we can learn from them, and how we’re cared for even when we make mistakes.
After our discussion, everyone made a fun whale craft to help remember the story. Lots of creativity, great conversation, and a good reminder that we’re always learning and growing.

Coach J walked in and saw a whole squad of mini-Coach J’s — same style, same attitude, same energy. The look on his face was priceless!
Safe to say he did NOT see that coming… and we’re pretty sure he’s never felt more famous. 😎
Best spirit day yet!

Spring Break is in 4 days. What?!?!? Can you believe how fast the school year flew?? Can you believe how much learning has happened at DIS??
Students: you’re so close you can almost taste the sleeping in.
Teachers: the countdown has definitely started.
Just a few more early mornings, a few more “what page are we on?” moments, and a few more "is it Friday yet?"
Hang in there everyone… you can make it. We believe in you.
