⏰ Don’t forget to "Spring Forward," Clay County!

Just a friendly reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend! Most people find it easiest to set their clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night before heading to bed—that way, you’re all set for Sunday morning! 🛌✨

While we all adjust to losing that hour of sleep, we’re definitely looking forward to those longer, sunnier afternoons for our students' after-school sports and activities! ☀️

We can’t wait to see all our students arriving safely and right on time this Monday morning to kick off another great week of learning. 🎒✨

"Pie a Teacher!" Yes, you read that right! Get ready for some whipped cream mayhem. We're hosting the ultimate "change" challenge for all the grades at CHE. Each grade will have its own collection bucket to collect as much loose change as possible. Bring in all of those pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters by March 12, and the winning grade will have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to PIE their teacher in the face! So, let's start filling those buckets and get ready to create some "cents" of humor.

🏫 We want to hear from you: 2026-2027 School Bell Times!

Clay County District Schools is considering three options for school start times for the 2026-2027 school year, and your feedback is essential to this decision.

In 2025, Florida law (SB 296) granted our School Board the flexibility to decide the best bell times for our community. We are currently weighing three possibilities:

Option A: Keep bell times exactly as they are now.

Option B: Elementary schools start first (7:20 AM), High Schools start last (9:40 AM).

Option C: Swap Elementary and Senior High times (High School starts at 8:30 AM).

Each option has different impacts on transportation costs, extracurriculars, and student sleep patterns. We want to know what works best for your family!

We are so proud of our students who took on the February STEAM Family Project! This month’s voluntary challenge was a test of imagination: "What can you do with a paper plate?" From innovative gadgets to artistic masterpieces, our students truly thought like inventors and problem solvers. Using just one paper plate and items from around the house, they turned a simple everyday object into something extraordinary! A huge thank you to the families who supported these young engineers and artists in their creative journey!
