Celebrating Excellence in Clay County! 🍎🏆

A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Orange Park for hosting such a wonderful meeting this past Tuesday and honoring two of our district's finest:

Dorothy Bailey (Grove Park Elementary) – Teacher of the Year

Jenner Pereda (Ridgeview High) – School-Related Employee of the Year

It was a privilege to hear them share their stories and witness them receive well-deserved plaques for their dedicated service. We are incredibly proud of Mrs. Bailey and Mr. Pereda for the heart they put into their work every day. Thank you for representing Clay County District Schools so well!

20 Years of Harmony in Oakleaf! 🎷✨

What an incredible way to wrap up Music In Our Schools Month! The Oakleaf Jazz Knight was more than just a concert this year—it was a true celebration!

To mark the 20th anniversary of Oakleaf Junior High, alumni from the Junior Jazz Band traveled from as far as Massachusetts to reunite on stage last night. Seeing former students perform alongside our current musicians under the direction of Mike Summers—who has led the program since day one—was truly unforgettable.

A special thank you to our honored guests, Superintendent Broskie and former principals Larry Davis and Janice Tucker, for joining the celebration.

Here’s to two decades of music, mentorship, and the enduring legacy of the Oakleaf community! 🎶🙌

Give this post a ❤️ to help us celebrate 20 years of OLJ musical excellence!

🌟 BIG NEWS FOR S. BRYAN JENNINGS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to announce that S. Bryan Jennings Elementary School has been officially named a 2026 ECTAC Exceeding Expectations Award School!

This prestigious statewide recognition identifies high-poverty schools that demonstrate exceptional progress in enhancing student achievement for all students. The selection process is extremely rigorous; out of 3,437 schools with grade data, S. Bryan Jennings was one of only 61 schools in Florida to meet the initial criteria established by the Exceeding Expectations committee!

Why the Jaguars Stood Out

The award criteria, based on 2025 School Grade Data, included:
Overall Achievement.
Significant Learning Gains.
Achievement in ESSA Student Groups and Subgroups.
The percentage of Economically Disadvantaged Students.

Beyond the quantitative data, S. Bryan Jennings completed an application process to provide a greater understanding of the school's unique accomplishments. As ECTAC Director Maria Longa noted, “Behind every data point is a story of determination, innovation, and hope”.

Give this a "Like" or "Love" to help us congratulate the students, teachers, and staff at S. Bryan Jennings for this incredible achievement! 🐾

Let’s give a massive round of applause to Ryael C. from Wilkinson Junior High, our Junior High Superintendent’s Super Student of the Month for March 2026!

Ryael is an 8th grader who truly embodies the spirit of being an Eagle. As a dedicated Pre-AICE student with straight A’s, he balances a rigorous academic schedule with a relentless drive for excellence. This year, he led the WJH Academic Team to an undefeated season and a County Championship—a testament to his sharp mind and leadership under pressure.

Beyond the classroom, Ryael is a powerhouse of involvement.
