From the steps of the Capitol to the halls of the Smithsonian, Oakleaf Junior High's annual trip to Washington, D.C. just got a lot more magical! ❄️ This year, students experienced a real D.C. snow day! For many of our students, this was their very first time seeing snow, making this field trip truly unforgettable.

Clay Virtual Academy staff members made a strong showing at the Florida Blended Online Learning Discovery (FLBOLD) Symposium last week. Several presented, and even more took home awards! Today, Montclair Elementary welcomed Senator Bradley to Mr. Beaver’s fourth-grade Social Studies classes! Our students recently wrote letters to the senator as part of their lessons on Florida government, and she took the time to visit, thank them personally, and share more about her role in the state legislature. Senator Bradley also answered students’ questions about how our government works, making this a truly memorable and engaging learning experience. The terrific "Talon Techs" from Wilkinson Junior High, led by their coach Mr. Neil Mckenzie, have qualified for the Florida Championship for the FIRST Tech Challenge after their performance in the Northeast Florida league tournament this past weekend. They secured 3rd place out of 32 teams at the league tournament and are currently ranked 9th out of 232 teams in the state. The championship is scheduled for the weekend of February 28th in Winter Haven, FL. Please join us in wishing them good luck!
