A "Big Day" for Fleming Island High School’s Hospitality and Tourism Program! 💍✨
Last Thursday, students from Fleming Island High orchestrated an amazing Student Wedding held at Julie Cook’s Riverfront Estate! This isn't just a ceremony—it’s the ultimate "final exam" for our Hospitality and Tourism students.
(And don't worry—before you go looking for a gift registry, please note this was just for fun and no students actually got married! 😉)
This student-led tradition has long shown our Golden Eagles exactly what it takes to pull off a high-stakes event. From the flowers and the food to the timing of the processional, about 50 students took full ownership of every moving piece.
🌟 A Special Thank You
A massive shoutout to Mrs. Kirk for her incredible leadership and dedication to these students. This program wouldn't be what it is without her guidance!
We also want to thank the FIH programs that collaborated to make the magic happen:
📸 Photography & TV Production
🤟 ASL, Band, Chorus, & Musical Theatre
Congratulations to all the students on a successful event! They’ve learned that while events look seamless from the outside, it takes a village (and a lot of hard work) to make it happen.
