Ms. Cloud’s classes have worked hard this spring reviving the butterfly garden after a hard winter. Thank you to all the parents who made donations that helped this project get to completion. 🦋

Our social committee treated us to a walking taco bar yesterday! Taco 'bout a yummy treat!!! 🌮

Ms. Hancock's third grade students created interactive activities on ocean topics they researched. They then invited classes to walk through their Ocean Museum so they could share what they learned. Learning is fun!

In April, during the month of the military child, many military-connected scholars, along with some of their peers assisted Mrs. Bathurst with morning announcements. This included proudly leading the Pledge of Allegiance! Well done, boys and girls!! 🇺🇸💜

Mrs. Stevens‘ class enjoyed the Arbor Day scavenger hunt last week!

Ms. Cloud’s science classes were busy last week with many Earth Day activities. 🌎🌱

The A4L Club would like to extend a big THANK YOU to all of the TBE families that made donations during the K9's for Warriors drive. Here is the thank you note received from Stephanie Vogt, Community Relations Manager for K9's for Warriors:
"We are so appreciative of all the time and energy that you and the students put into collecting needed items. From me and on behalf of K9s For Warriors, thank you so much for your donations! It is because of supporters like you that we can continue to move forward in our mission to help save lives at both ends of the leash. We are honored to have you on board in support. Please extend our gratitude to all who participated".

Dear Parents and Families,
This is the final week that parents are able to join their scholar at lunch this school year. (See April sign-up pinned at the top of our Facebook page for availability this week.) Due to school-wide testing throughout the month of May, there will not be any visitors allowed for lunch after this week. We have loved seeing the proud and happy faces of scholars eating with their parents during lunch this year and look forward to continuing this tradition next year.
Thank you for your understanding and support of our quiet environment for testing!

This week we celebrated administrative professionals week!! These incredible women keep our school running smoothly. From welcoming students and families with a smile, to juggling schedules, calls, and a million details every day—they do it all with kindness and grace.
We appreciate everything you do more than words can say!

Please vote for our very own Mrs. Tracy Johnston to win "America's Favorite Teacher!"
https://www.claytodayonline.com/stories/local-educator-up-for-americas-favorite-teacher,144249?
As stated in the linked Clay Today article:
"As a current quarter-finalist in a competition to determine “America’s Favorite Teacher,” Johnston said the anticipation is nonetheless exciting.
The nationwide search and fundraiser, which Colossal Impact sponsors, aims to find the country’s best ‘unsung heroes’. Multiple rounds of voting will determine one winner receiving $25,000 and a feature with Reader’s Digest magazine.
Additionally, the teacher’s school will receive a virtual assembly with The Planetary Society CEO and television personality Bill Nye.
Established just last year, the competition has already raised over $2 million for The Planetary Society, the world’s largest nonprofit space organization."
Mrs. Johnston has touched the lives of countless students and we are thrilled that she is a finalist in this awesome competition!!
