Parents and Families, Would you like to accompany your scholar during their lunchtime? Please use the link below to sign up for a day and time throughout the month of September.
Thunderbolt Elementary is excited to announce that we are now allowing visitors on campus during lunch! Due to space, we are limiting it to 20 visitors each day. Every parent needs to fill out a slot, as this is a first come first serve event. Please include scholar's name, teacher and grade when signing up in the "My Comment" section. Lunch period is 30 minutes, so to be proactive and promote fairness, an individual is only permitted to sign up once per week to have lunch with their scholar during this event. To sign up for lunch during the month of September, please use the link below.
September Lunch Sign-Ups
Please remember the following:
-If you plan on eating, please bring your own lunch, as you will not be able to purchase a lunch for yourself through the cafeteria.
-To expedite checking in and maximizing lunch with your scholar(s), please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your child’s scheduled lunch time and have the proper identification ready at the front office.
-Without prior signing up and/or identification, NO individual will be allowed onto campus.
-Only your scholar(s) will be allowed to eat with their parent(s) and NO additional scholars, classmates, etc., will be allowed to participate. Please send your scholar(s) back to their lunch tables two minutes before the end of their lunch. Parents are NOT permitted in classrooms.
-Photography is not allowed in the lunchroom in order to protect scholar privacy.
We are excited to offer this opportunity for you to have lunch with your scholar(s) at TBE. Please adhere to these procedures so we can keep lunch open for all visitors and assure the process goes smoothly.

Today, September 11th, Clay County District Schools pauses to honor the lives lost, the courageous first responders who rushed toward danger, and the countless heroes whose bravery shone on one of our nation’s darkest days.
On this National Day of Remembrance, our students and staff reflect on the selflessness, unity, and resilience that defined our country following September 11, 2001. Through meaningful classroom reflection and age-appropriate civics lessons, we ensure that the legacy of these heroes inspires the next generation.
Today, we invite our Clay County community to join us in taking a moment of quiet reflection to honor those we lost and thank the local heroes who keep us safe every day.
We will never forget. ❤️
