Who will be Clay County’s representatives for the 2026 Florida Council for the Social Studies Teacher of the Year awards?

A strong foundation in our nation’s history and a clear understanding of our civic principles are vital for every student. We are currently seeking to recognize the educators who demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence and high-quality instruction in these essential subjects.

Teachers, administrators, students, and parents are all encouraged to nominate an outstanding Social Studies teacher for the following district-level awards:

  • 🏫 Junior High Teacher

  • 🎓 High School Teacher

  • 🌟 Beginning Teacher (Within their first 3 years)

  • 📜 Excellence in Teaching History

  • 🗳️ Clay Civics Champion

We’re opening our doors to ensure our community’s kids stay fueled and ready for summer fun. The Best Part? All kids 18 and under eat for FREE with no application required! 📍 Where & When Location: Shadowlawn Elementary | 3400 Falcon Force Run, Green Cove Springs Dates: June 8 – July 31 (Monday – Friday) Pick-up Time: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM 🍱 How It Works Shadowlawn is a USDA Rural Site, which means meals are for off-site consumption.
