During the month of October, sixth grade Extended Studies students examined the mummification process by testing different variables on apples. They found the best preservers were salt and vinegar. Students also concluded gauze trapped too much moisture. Proving the ancient Egyptians chose the best material, natron or salt when preserving their dead.
