Last week, our FFEA students attended the Regional FEA Conference at UNF, where they took part in a series of dynamic educational sessions and an engaging panel discussion with district leaders from Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns counties. It was an inspiring day of learning, leadership, and exploration into the world of education. We're proud of our future educators. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Morano’s reading students built vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension through a structured SRA Reading Lab lesson. Students reviewed key vocabulary, practiced accurate pronunciation, and engaged in purposeful oral reading as they worked together to track errors and strengthen their reading mastery. With clear expectations, strong modeling, and supportive feedback from Ms. Morano, students stayed focused, encouraged one another, and took pride in meeting their collective reading goals. #PanthersRISE

Mr. Ray’s 10th-grade ELA students strengthened their poetry analysis skills today through a FAST-aligned lesson focused on understanding how an author’s writing choices and genre-specific techniques develop meaning. Students practiced close reading, examined connotative and denotative meanings, analyzed diction and tone, and supported their interpretations with textual evidence. #PanthersRISE

Ms. Generazio's art students reflected on gratitude in a beautiful and meaningful way, using thoughtful prompts to explore ideas such as strengths, memories, challenges, and nature before expressing those reflections through vibrant, hand-crafted leaves. The leaves have now come together to form a stunning Gratitude Tree in the art room, filled with color, creativity, and heartfelt messages. This project showcases a powerful blend of artistic expression and emotional reflection, reminding us all of the many things we have to be thankful for this season. Fantastic work, Panthers, and thank you, Ms. Generazio, for inspiring both creativity and gratitude in your classroom! #PanthersRISE

Our Culinary 2 students rolled up their sleeves (and their egg rolls!) today! They practiced time management and organization in the kitchen while preparing delicious egg rolls. The lesson's primary focus was the art of plating; students showcased their creativity by designing unique, eye-catching presentations. A perfect blend of flavor, focus, and food styling! #PanthersRISE

Ms. Kerr’s ELD English students strengthened their understanding of how an author’s story structure and writing choices develop meaning as they revisited The Gift of the Magi and practiced identifying key plot elements to uncover theme. Students analyzed exposition, rising action, climax, and resolution using both a digital Pear Deck activity and a hands-on sorting task, then applied their learning to explain how important events contribute to a story’s big idea. With guidance from Ms. Kerr and ELL assistant Ms. Tinoco, students practiced oral language skills and built academic vocabulary. They deepened their comprehension by comparing responses and discussing their thinking—great work that builds confidence and strengthens essential reading skills. #PanthersRISE
