We’re so excited to share that our After-School Lacrosse Club is back for its 8th year! Over the past few weeks in PE, students have been learning “soft” lacrosse — a fun and safe version of the game that doesn’t require extra protective gear. Now they’ll have the chance to keep playing after school with FIHS coach and members of the girls & boys lacrosse teams right here on campus. We’re so lucky to have their support and expertise!
Program Details:
● Who: Kindergarten–6th grade students
● Dates: Wednesdays: Nov. 19, Dec. 3, and Dec. 10 (Make-up date if needed due to weather: Dec. 17)
● Time: 2:45–3:30 p.m. (pickup by 3:50 p.m. in North Parent Pick Up)
● Cost: $2.00, Cash ONLY (to cover field paint and supplies)
● Sign-Up Deadline: Monday, Nov. 17, 2025
● Spots Available: 50–60 students — spaces fill fast!
Students are expected to show great sportsmanship and behavior during Lacrosse Club. If any issues arise, a student from the waiting list may take their place. We can’t wait to see your child out on the field learning, growing, and having fun with this awesome sport!

Hi Manatee Families,
Throughout October, our school counselor, Mrs Curtis has been leading classroom lessons to support National Bullying Prevention Month and promote a positive school climate.
Over the past few weeks, students in 1st–3rd grade created drawings showing what caring looks like in action. These drawings were originally sent home with students, but we would love to gather some of them back to use in a building-wide display that celebrates kindness and student voices. If you still have your child’s drawing and are willing to share it, please send it back to school (to your child’s teacher) or drop it off directly at the front office.
In addition, lessons are currently being delivered to students in 4th–6th grade over the next two weeks, continuing our school wide focus on empathy, respect, and bullying prevention.
Just a reminder we ask all our Paterson students, staff, and families to wear ORANGE on Wednesday, October 22nd.
Thank you for supporting this important work and helping us build a caring school community! 💛🧡💙
