Mrs. Bramlitt's art studio at Paterson Elementary has been a hive of creativity lately! Every single grade level has been getting their hands messy and diving deep into the wonderful world of ceramics.
Our talented young artists have become mini-potters, mastering the entire scientific and artistic journey of their creations:
Wet Clay: Learning to shape and mold their visions.
Greenware: Patiently waiting for pieces to air-dry.
Bisqueware: Seeing their art transform after the first firing in the kiln.
Glazeware: Adding vibrant colors and that final finishing shine!
Through every smudge of mud and splash of glaze, they’ve learned the patience and skill it takes to turn raw earth into a masterpiece. Most importantly, they’ve had an absolute blast doing it!
Keep an eye out—your students are so excited to bring their finished treasures home to share with you! 🏺✨

Giving a huge SHOT-OUT to the best in the business: Nurse Melzak! 🩺🩹
It’s School Nurse Appreciation Day, and we couldn’t let it pass without celebrating the woman who keeps us all healthy, safe, and upright. Whether it’s a scraped knee, a mystery tummy ache, or just needing a quiet place to rest, Nurse Melzak handles it all with a smile and a bandage.
We love you, Nurse Melzak! Thanks for being the "heart" of our school. ❤️

🎒 Florida School Readiness: K & 7th Grade! 🍎
Heading to Kindergarten or 7th Grade? Florida requires updated immunizations to keep our classrooms healthy. Here’s your quick checklist to ensure your student is cleared for Day 1!
🖍️ Entering Kindergarten?
Your little learner needs their completed primary series:
DTaP & Polio (IPV): 4–5 doses each
MMR & Varicella: 2 doses each
Hepatitis B: 3 doses
📝 Entering 7th Grade?
Big kids have one more big requirement:
Tdap Booster: 1 dose (Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis)
✅ The "Must-Have" Document
Ask your pediatrician for Form DH 680 (the "Florida Certification of Immunization"). Schools cannot enroll students without this official record on file!
💡 Tip: Beat the August rush—book your appointments now!

Today, we are celebrating the dedicated health experts who keep our students safe and ready for the classroom every single day. Our school nurses bring specialized medical knowledge to our campuses, ensuring that every child is well-cared for while they are away from home.
They do so much more than just hand out bandages; they manage important health needs and provide the professional oversight that allows our students to focus on their studies with confidence. We are so proud of the expertise and care they bring to our Clay County District Schools families!
Please Like and Share this post to help us spread the good news and give our amazing school nurses a huge "Thank You" for all they do! 🌟💗
