Our two-sentence scary short story contest winners were announced this morning! These amazing girls wrote the scariest stories that rose above the rest. First place was Stephanie Abreu-Quijada, second place was Emily Hogan, and third place was Camila Arreola. Their stories are displayed in the media center. We are so proud of these wildcats and their outstanding writing skills!!

Please join us in congratulating our P.R.I.D.E. Student of the Week Jorvensky Nelson. P.R.I.D.E. stands for Positive, Responsible, Involved, Diligent and efficient. Mr. Gentry nominated Jorvensky because he approaches each learning opportunity and classroom assignment, no matter how difficult or complex, with the same sense of deliberate purpose. The maiden voyage of the OPJ student book club was a success! Under the facilitation of Mrs. Fite, Ms. Rodriguez, and Mrs. Kiem students voted on both Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen and City Spies by James Ponti for our November picks. Students were engaged and interested in all of the book options presented. Can’t wait for all of these wildcats to read & discuss together!”
