Mrs. Fatima’s Family & Consumer Science classes started a new unit by identifying the vegetables varieties. Many were thrilled to see the fresh fruits and vegetables which they either see in cans, premade packages or frozen form.
The wildcats then learned the basics of knife handling and various vegetable cuts. Mrs. Fatima then read to them the book Stone Soup by Marcia Brown. They understood the importance of community, kindness and creativity. They were impressed with the storytelling and also impressed with the soldiers’ ability to bring the entire town together and create the stone soup!
Later the Family & Consumer Science Wildcats created the most delicious vegetable soup ever. They were proud of their hard work and amazed that the vegetables can be so scrumptious without any protein added to them.
Mrs.Fatima is very proud of her Fabulous FACS Family!

Please join us in congratulating Rylie Grant for being selected as our PRIDE student of the Week. Ms. Ecker nominated Rylie because she is always pleasant and polite. She completes every task the best that she can. When she finishes, she asks if there is anything else she can help with. She sets a good example of what a successful student looks like when doing independent and peer work. Congratulations Rylie!!! Keep up the great work!!!
