After learning the importance of a recipe and the elements of the recipe, students from Mrs. Fatima’s classes participated in a Recipe Art Competition. Here are the top two from each of her classes. It was very difficult for the judges to choose as there was a tough competition and so many beautiful recipe arts to choose from. Congratulations to all of our talented Wildcats!!!

Students in Mrs. Fatima’s Family & Consumer Science classes made chocolate chip cookies this week. They measured the dry ingredients on day one, measured the wet ingredients, made cookie dough balls, baked them and enjoyed them on the third day. It was a delicious ending of the week!

Mrs. Fatima’s Family & Consumer Science students surprised Mr. Doty with a poster and freshly baked cookies to congratulate him on being selected as OPJ's Teacher of the year!

The first Chess Club meeting was a complete success! Mr. Emery, Ms. Soto, Mr. Cain & Mrs. Kiem went over Chess basics with students, as well as a bit of history of the game itself. Students were then paired together and games were played! We did a great job of honing chess strategy and skills, as well as demonstrating great sportsmanship. We are ready for the OPJ Chess Team to do amazing things this year!!
