Congratulations to the winners of our March Luck With A Twist Short Story Contest in the library! Students submitted short stories in which luck plays an important role, but not in the way the character expects. The stories submitted were so creative and carefully crafted, but four stood out above all the rest! Alyssa Hendricks received first place, Laila Tenchavez received second place, Mason Parker received third place, and Jocelyn Witte received an honorable mention. So proud of our amazing wildcat writers and the ELA teachers who help cultivate their writing skills each day!!

Snapshots from Pi Day! Students explored real-world applications of pi and participated in a fun activity where we “pi-ed” our math building. Mrs. Soto-Gil achieved the highest memorization, reciting 33 digits of pi. Many students also demonstrated impressive effort, with several memorizing up to 15 digits. Mrs. Soto-Gil shared her memorization strategy with the class, explaining how she used chunking—grouping digits into sets of three—and connected them to meaningful dates to aid recall.
