Attention ALL Wildcats interested in trying out for Basketball @ OPJ...

Please join us in congratulating Rylie Grant for being selected as our PRIDE student of the Week. Ms. Ecker nominated Rylie because she is always pleasant and polite. She completes every task the best that she can. When she finishes, she asks if there is anything else she can help with. She sets a good example of what a successful student looks like when doing independent and peer work. Congratulations Rylie!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Students in Mrs. Recker's class brought Earth science to life with a fun, hands-on activity modeling plate tectonic boundaries! Using graham crackers, icing, and chocolate chips, they recreated the movement of Earth’s lithospheric plates and observed how these movements shape our planet.
Working together, they explored how plates collide at convergent boundaries to form mountains, pull apart at divergent boundaries to create new crust, and slide past each other at transform boundaries causing earthquakes. This engaging activity helped students visualize complex geologic processes in a simple and tasty way while reinforcing key science concepts.
Students loved the chance to build and experiment, and the lesson sparked great conversations about how these same processes happen beneath our feet on a much larger scale.🐾🐾
