Throughout the event our students had the opportunity to experience firsthand, the incredible spirit, energy, and camaraderie of the RHS Panther Band. Today, we celebrated the incredible custodial team at Orange Park Junior High! 💙🐾

Our custodians work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our campus clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for learning every day. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, care, and the pride they take in making OPJ a great place for our Wildcats!

We also want to give a huge shoutout to Mr. Fraizer, our head custodian, and to all of our custodians who weren’t pictured. We appreciate everything you do! 🧹👏💙

A special thank you to Mrs. Fatima’s 4th Period class for leading a surprise appreciation gesture for our custodial team during lunch! ❤️

Our eighth grade ELA students came into the library today for a book “tasting” with Mrs. Kiem that showed students basic steps of previewing books, and how to best locate books that they are interested in. Students also reviewed the different genres available for checkout and were able to sample books from each. The library transformed into a cafe for the day, and students were relaxed and engaged!

🇵🇷 Hispanic Heritage Month Spotlight: Puerto Rico! 🇵🇷

Today, we would like to feature Puerto Rico for Hispanic Heritage Month! Yeray, Ana Maria, Jaylianna, Summer, and Brooklyn as well as many more of our students are from Puerto Rico.

One interesting fact about Puerto Rico is its Playa Negra, a beach with striking black sand formed by volcanic activity and shifting tectonic plates.

Let us celebrate Puerto Rican culture with us as we appreciate its vibrant music, traditions, food, and history!
