Last Tuesday, on Veterans Day, the OP NJROTC met at Orange Park Mall with 50 cadets to perform Veterans Day displays, greetings, and performances. This event resulted in 200 hours of combined community service. The idea, planning, and execution were handled entirely by Cadet John Brice.

Last weekend, 6 members of the OP NJROTC Orienteering Team competed at Moss Creek State Park. Cadet Mariah Connor finished in first place in the female Varsity Division, earning enough season points to rank her the #1 Female in All of Florida JROTC!

Looking for a meaningful way to observe Veterans Day? The Camp Blanding Museum is hosting a special ceremony and celebration tomorrow, November 11th.

Event Highlights:

⭐ FREE T-SHIRTS: The first 100 veterans to arrive will receive a free limited-edition t-shirt!

🍔 WWII-PRICED LUNCH: After the ceremony, they will be serving lunch with food at nostalgic WWII prices.

Tyler Davies, an Orange Park High Community Partnership School graduate, was in the spotlight at the Caring Chefs event on October 19th at Deerwood Castle. He highlighted the incredible impact of Orange Park High as a Community Partnership School, showcasing how our programs support families, uplift our community, and helped him flourish as a student leader and volunteer. Tyler's Raider Pride resonated deeply with everyone in the audience.

This week, Orange Park High School students visited First Coast Technical College today. They were one of 22 schools in attendance. Students were able to tour various programs and interact with the instructors at the College.

On Saturday, 42 NJROTC cadets competed in their first major Drill Meet of the year. Out of the 10 area schools competing, they brought home 2nd place overall with 8 trophies, including 1st place in athletics ( which included 1st place in push-ups and sit-ups and 2nd place in the 16X100 run), 2nd place in overall drill/marching, and 2nd place in personnel Inspection. They placed 2nd or better in 7 out of 10 events and qualified for the Area 10 Championship. Out of 80 females competing, our females took individual medals with a clean sweep of 1st through 3rd in both push-ups and sit-ups. Great job, cadets!
