Following spring break, we have observed an increase in the use of cell phones and smart glasses, particularly Meta glasses. Smart glasses are considered prohibited devices due to their wireless and Bluetooth capabilities.
This is a reminder that wireless communication devices are prohibited during class changes and instructional time.
As we approach testing season, students may not have any wireless communication devices in their possession during the administration of district or FAST assessments. Testing will be invalidated if students are found in possession of these devices, even if they are not in use.
This expectation is in alignment with FL HB 379, School Board Policy 5136, and FAST Assessment policy, and consequences outlined in the Student Code of Conduct will continue to be enforced.

Prom ticket sales end soon! April 27 is the last day. Tickets available via MySchoolBucks.
You can also pay with cash (exact change required) after school in room 225 this Friday, April 17th, and Monday, April 20th. Tickets are now $120.00.

Dr. Laura Mayberry, a native of Fernandina Beach, FL., is a dedicated educator with over two decades of service within Clay County. Following a successful 14-year tenure as a classroom teacher at Orange Park High School, she transitioned into leadership and has served as an Assistant Principal for the past six years. Currently, she oversees the junior class and manages vital school operations, including state testing, digital communications, and social media presence. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Mayberry is an avid reader and a talented multi-instrumentalist who enjoys playing both the piano and guitar.

Ms. James is excited to be back for her second year as Assistant Principal at Orange Park High School. Originally from Kentucky, Ms. James moved to Florida in 2015 and quickly traded the rolling hills for life on the water. With a background in education spanning Pre-K through high school, she joined Clay County in 2020 and served as both a teacher and a Dean before stepping into her current leadership role.
A deep passion for personal growth drives her, and she believes that every student has the potential to fulfill their biggest dreams. As a mother of four and a proud grandmother of one, Ms. James approaches leadership with a "family-first" heart, striving to ensure every Raider feels supported and empowered.
When she isn’t on campus, you’ll likely find her soaking up the Florida sunshine. Whether she’s boating, hiking, camping, or spending a day at the beach with her family, she loves staying active outdoors. Ms. James is looking forward to another fantastic year of collaborating with the staff, students, and the entire Orange Park community!
Mr. G., says, "Ms. James is one of the nicest people I have ever worked with. She has a heart for people and a undeniable passion for all students."
