Real-World learning in Business and Law!
Mrs. Brown’s Business Management & Law students took learning beyond the textbook and into the courtroom-inspired world of Employment Law! The students had the incredible opportunity to work with Mrs. Tabitha Grant, Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, as they practiced their legal and communication skills through a hands-on employment law mediation simulation.
Using an ERISA-based scenario, students stepped into real-world roles, analyzed legal issues, advocated for their assigned parties, negotiated, communicated, and worked toward resolution. This experience strengthened critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, legal reasoning, collaboration, and professionalism.
A special thank you to Mrs. Tabitha Grant for sharing her expertise and giving our students an authentic look into the world of mediation and employment law.

Physics in action at Oakleaf High School! Students in Mr. Laberis’s AICE Physics class put their projectile motion skills to the test with a one-shot challenge. Using only the launch angle, launcher height, and initial velocity, students had to calculate exactly where to place the target. Then came the moment of truth: one shot to see if their calculations could accurately predict the projectile’s path. A great hands-on challenge that puts physics, problem-solving, and precision into action!

⚡ Charge Into Fire Safety! ⚡
It’s Fire Prevention Week, and this year’s theme is all about safe charging! As technology plays a big role in our everyday lives, we are reminding our OneClay community that safe charging is a superpower.
🔌 Plug in. Power up. Stay safe.
To keep our homes and schools safe, make sure you are using your 6 Charging Superpowers:
• Cheap charger? Don't chance it. Use the cord and charger that came with your device or one approved by the manufacturer.
• Soft surface? Hard pass. Charge on a hard, flat surface like a table, desk, or bare floor.
• Fully charged? Time to unplug. Unplug your device when it is fully charged.
• For tools and rides, charge outside. Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools outside when possible, and never block exits when charging.
• Feels hot? Stop using it. Stop using your device if it feels very hot, starts to swell, smells strange, leaks, smokes, or makes popping or hissing sounds.
• On a flight? Keep it in sight. Keep devices where you can see them while charging on an airplane, and tell a flight attendant if you notice a problem.
