Mrs. Smith's Ag Tech 1 students were exploring agrotourism opportunities and answering questions to determine what makes a successful business. Students talked about the economics of an actual crop maze and what makes a good business model. #HorsePower

In Dr. Matthew’s class students were demonstrating their knowledge of cellular energy by creating a foldable that labeled and listed the functions of mitochondria, citric acid cycle, glycolysis, electron transport chain and fermentation. #HorsePower

In Ms. Floyd’s Financial Algebra class, students tackled real-world math by calculating interest on student loans using simple interest. Today’s challenge: How much interest will Britta owe after 2.5 years of nonpayment on a $6,000 loan at 4.29%? No one opts out—everyone learns! #HorsePower

The MHS FBLA chapter participated in their District 27 Rally yesterday. Members collaborated with other schools in the district, elected district officers and even competed in some intense games of “Full Body” Paper Rock Scissors and Family Feud with students versus advisors!
