🎉 Middleburg High School Earns PBIS Model School Recognition! 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce that Middleburg High School has been officially designated as a Florida PBIS Model School, highlighting its outstanding commitment to creating a positive, supportive, and well‑structured learning environment.

What does PBIS Model School status mean?
PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is a nationally recognized framework designed to promote proactive behavior expectations, reduce disciplinary issues, and enhance academic and social success through data‑driven, school‑wide strategies.

What this recognition says about the school:

The school has consistently implemented PBIS with high fidelity, showing strong systems and structures that reinforce positive student behavior.

Students are taught clear behavioral expectations and are celebrated for practicing them.

Staff use data to guide interventions and supports, ensuring every student receives the help they need.

The school culture emphasizes respect, responsibility, and safety, translating into fewer disruptions and more time focused on learning.

Middleburg High School is proud to announce that Bella Evans, one of our Computer Science & Information Technology (CSIT) students, has successfully completed a paid summer internship with the Clay County Board of Commissioners through a unique and growing partnership between Middleburg High School and Clay County Government. This summer, Bella worked at the Clay County Emergency Operations Center, gaining valuable real-world experience and making meaningful contributions to the county’s IT operations. The internship reflects the ongoing effort to prepare Middleburg CSIT students for future careers in technology through hands-on learning, mentorship, and collaboration with local industry professionals. This partnership between Middleburg High School and Clay County Government is helping bridge the gap between education and the workforce by providing students with opportunities to explore careers in IT and public service. We are grateful to Clay County Government for investing in our students and providing opportunities that empower the next generation of IT professionals! For more information about the CSIT program at Middleburg High School or partnership opportunities, please contact Christine Ackerman at christine.ackerman@myoneclay.net #HorsePower #claycountygov

Our 2026 Senior Class president McKinzy Alexander, had the honor of being selected by the American Legion Auxiliary to attend Girls State in Tallahassee this past week. During the week, the girls acted as our state’s elected legislative body, presented bills to vote on and also heard mock supreme trial cases. McKinzy served as a reporter for the week which aligns with her future career and made lasting connections with the friends she made. #HorsePower
