National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day serves as a solemn reminder of the cost of freedom.

Clay County District Schools joins the nation in honoring the memory of those who perished at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and recognizing the strength of the generation that followed.

Ms. Burrells class was using the EACH Strategy to analyze each question and answer on the passage “A Horseman in the Sky”. Students provided text evidence as to why answers were correct or incorrect. Each student Eliminated obvious wrong answers, Analyzed answers that were left, Connected the answers to the passage, and highlighted key words that confirmed the students selection. #HorsePower

Students in Geometry tackled the Exterior Angle Inequality Theorem (Theorem 6.8) like champs: proving that an exterior angle is always greater than either remote interior angle. Coach Pearce reviewed homework questions, modeled one example with crystal clarity, then released students to attack the next one independently while he and Ms. K circulated, checking understanding in real time. #HorsePower

In Ms. Hall's Algebra 1 class her students were UP & MOVING around the room, hunting for slope & y-intercept on equations and graphs, then graphing real-world linear scenarios like pros. The energy was contagious — kids excited to share answers, collaborating everywhere you looked!
